Does it matter that Van Persie's goal was offside and West Ham's late goal was actually onside?

Take note MU fans. There's a huge difference between our struggles and yours this season. Ours are quite justifiable and pretty textbook - losing a superstar and stumbling to redefine a system with new recruits. Your struggles are on the other hand pathetic, the stuff of ancient Greek comedies, ... Act II. Every signing has been a symptom of panic and cluelessness. Mata, Shaw, Di Maria, Falcao ... each recruited at a cost three times their worth.

I'm not even sure that Van Gaal was originally your board's pick. I think Woodward and the rest cupped their clueless elf ears on the walls of fan forums who were clamouring for the Dutch Big Cheese way back last winter when Moyes lack of gravitas made them yearn for real authority, and Glazers and co panicked, and gave said cheese to the restless masses.

And on the point of penalties - both were (Moreno's one starting on the line, tbf), but Atkinson couldn't have seen that. He certainly saw the overhead tip over by barry - and **** himself in the same manner as he did when Pinaar atmpted to amputate mascherano a few seasons back at Anfield. Not for the first time in a derby you got the rub of the green on the decisions (though I'm not wighning that is why you got a point - we didn't earn 3 points, no argument from me), but in the mists of time yourselves and the media will still be going on about how hard done by you are by referees in derbies.

It's irrelevant to the fact Barry made two red cards worth of offences yes. But yes it was a dive unfortunately.

Correct on both points and hopefully noone will embarrass themselves by disagreeing. Harsh on Nolan but he was offside.

Anyway - Tobes - don't think anyone could've watched that game and not concluded Liverpool were much the better side. Everton were pretty dire. We take our chances we win, simple. We didn't, so we sat back (no confidence) and we were punished by a 1-1,000,000 hit.

You were the better side overall, I never said otherwise. I just took issue with that bell ends comment that you outplayed us for 90 minutes which was his usual brand of delusional idiocy

That said, you were ****e up front and dodgy free kick aside (donga - he dived over a daft challenge from Baines, but the blatant foul on Barry 5 seconds earlier which the useless Atkinson waved on, was my real point), you were hardly peppering our goal and making Howard put in a Billy the Fish performance, you were toothless.

Jags hit was a peach and well worthy of gaining a point.

What was your view on Barry and the handball ( and if it was a 2nd yellow?) and then the trip on Balotelli when he robbed the ball of him and if that should have also been a yellow?

He got lucky with the handball, as that should have been a penalty and a yellow card, which would have meant a red. However, as I said earlier had the referee and his assistant been doing their jobs right, they'd have awarded a penalty for the blatant foul on Lukaku a minute earlier, thus the incident would never have happened - butterfly effect. So as they say - it balanced out.

So a penalty each and you agree Barry being on or off the pitch makes no difference

Graham Poll said this ''Overall I thought Atkinson’s approach helped the game and made it a more enjoyable spectacle. The fact that the missed penalties balanced each other out meant he had no adverse effect on the result.'' - Atkinson personally is not supposed to have an adverse or a positive effect on the result, he's supposed to apply the laws of the game which will in turn help determine the result.

Just two thing to say on this: are you SERIOUSLY saying the Moreno foul was as 'blatant' as the Barry handball? Really? Not just a tad of straw-clutching to equal things out there?

Secondly, this so-called butterfly effect. So, if you are denied a throw-in in the 1st minute, it must have an effect on a goal against you in the 45th?

Btw, just seen the Moreno foul again on MoTD2. It definitely starts outside the box, no question.

Anyway, it was 1-1 and Everton 'deserved' their draw, in the poorest derby for years, for the simple reason that Liverpool couldn't finish them off, and, seemingly forgotten in all this, Lukaku missed the easiest chance of the whole game two minutes after Gerrard's goal (did you see Lovren lose his man again, all you fans who think he's some sort of Terry?). Maybe a butterfly was flapping in front of Lukaku's head.

The Moreno foul started outside the box and continued into it, read the ****ing rules soft arse, it was a nailed on penalty. The referee can be excused as he can't see the arm holding from his angle, but the linesman just shat out, end of.

The butterfly effect in this context is undeniable, end of

We got a draw off the back of an injury time screamer in front of the hill of piss, beautiful :)
