We got the three points and that's important. Shame my prediction of Carroll scoring didn't happen... Thought he played well today though. He's improving!
I also have Smalling, Hernandez, Valencia, Young and Anderson in my team so if Man Utd lose I'm ****ed.
Actually, props to Berbnanidez Videncia. for being so civil today, didn't try to cause arguements, provoke anyone and generally just blended in well. Nice that we can actually have a bit of friendly banter too! (Arsenal thrased Bolton 3-0, the rise of the invincibles!)
3 points, but poor 2nd half performance. Our defence, since the change from 4-2-3-1 to 4-4-2 has been very dodgy. Adam and Lucas are too one paced in the centre in my opinion, and Adam doesn't have enough tactical awareness to make up for his lack of pace, Lucas does. Carroll was really good for a change. Henderson was non-existant though, there was really no point for him and Adam to be on the pitch. We really need to get back to the formation that made us succesful last season in my opinion, that means playing Maxi and Downing wide, Suarez in the hole and Spearing & Lucas in the middle. None of this 4-4-2 rubbish which exposes our centre backs and shows how poor they actually are.
I'll concede that, he had a good game, generally kept possesion, showing glimpses of what he's worth, his lunge into the defender put a smile on my face, why? Well it seemed it was in the heat of the moment, but the sort of passion he put into it, whether he was annoyed at the player or whatever, it just had some heart in it, something he hasn't really showed before for us
In just this year they've had some huge embarrasments. Birmingham, Barcelona, Manchester United.. need I go on?
I certainly don't think Adam or Henderson should play against Everton. Spearing and Kuyt should be drafted in. Work harder, and don't need as much time on the ball as the other two. Adam takes too long to find a pass sometimes, and he won't have any kind of time in the derby.
He's defo improving! I ain't seen the tackle as I had our game on the radio so i'll have to wait and watch it! We've got the three points and now we look forward to the derby next week!
