Apparently Coutinho hasn't trained all week. Probably a niggle. Bad news about Sturridge though. It immediately shows the lack of depth up front, but does push us to playing with 1 up front which maybe a good thing against the bigger teams.
Well Rodgers has said he's going to give the fringe players some oxygen, and this is the first game since that statement. Let's hope it';s the right call...
Good to see Aspas back on the bench, hopefully the time away from the first time will give him a kick upside the backside.
and SUarez needs to have a good day. If he's not in the mood or is a bit off pace I can see it being a very very frustrating game, and even a loss through a scabby set-piece
Already said we cannot let this game stay at 0-0 or even worse be chasing the game. Really need to get the goal and ease the minds. Seems with Coutinho, Sturridge, something with Gerrard, a lot has gone on that could rattle the players a bit.
Well its bad news that both Sturridge and Ford are out. But it gives a chance for some of the fringe players to get a game and be on the bench. I think we will struggle a bit today if Hull are organised as we will miss both Sturridge and Ford for the way they can open up defences. Sterling can go past a man but there is often no end product. Moses is very unpredictable and could play a blinder or not even appear to be on the pitch. Having said all that I am glad we have lost two of our more creative players when we play Hull rather than any of the top 6 teams. No offence meant to Hull, but I am sure even the most ardent Hull supporter would not consider their team a top 6 team.
Who needs Sturridge when you have Aspas Will be his moment to shine in the next few months! Come on Liverpool!!
