I'd give him another pre-season game. He's probably worth it for cover for LB. I'm just not convinced as a starter. I mean Johnson and him as wing backs is very flimsy.

Certainly, he's young and needs to get back into it. Don't quite think Enrique is adequate for title/CL aspirations though. Dead wood - Cole, Poulsen, Maxi (could be cover), Degen, El Zhar, Jovanovic, N'gog. Some of these youngsters should be sent on loan, others kept as cover - Wilson, Ayala, Robinson, Insua, Flanagan, Spearing, Shelvey.
pretty glad i took the ridiculously good odds on Gala to win. Would normally back our boys but come on, tough team, tough place to go, a 3rd string team. A good test for some of the young lads, and surely more educational than playing some league 2 side or an MLS team, and it's difficult for the few 2nd string players that went to do well when they're alongside the likes of Degen. I also wonder how much of these friendlies are to do with commercial commitments, as this very much seemed like a showpiece friendly that the team Kenny picked suggested he would rather not have played (from a pure preparation point of view).

afternoon, first post The only plus from this and the last game is that half these players will not be involved next season, the youngsters did well considering the senior? players they were pplaying with. Some mistakes but only to be expected to be honest. If Degan and Poulson are there come mid august and aqua isnt i will be devistated If this is aquaman playin when his hearts not in it god forbid what hed be like if hes motivated
seriously though i tuned in to see what team was playing and i thought what the f*** ,degen! where did he come from? paulson is so poor its laughable,Cole does try but there's no spark.Shelvey did ok as did Flanagan.Robinson wide midfield? It was a real mess,a bit better 2nd half but not much.However,if kelly,carroll,Aqualani and Kuyt had taken their chances then it would have been very different.Ayala...send him on loan only seen him pplay twice and he looks like an accident waiting to happen.
Welcome to the site. I agree Aquaman could become a serious player for us. I don't why we havent shipped the crap already though. We won't get much for them so why not accept dirt cheap bids? It's not good to have such crap associated with the team. I think we should be making better use of our pre-season. As it is we'v lost momentum.
