Like in all good election campaigns, we should list the qualities we admire in the candidates. The ones I 'd like to draw the attention to in the Scousers manager are: 1 Really clear articulate speaker who can be understood by all including their fans all over the world 2 good rapport with journalists and the media. Always friendly 3. Most important a modern and enlightened understanding of multi cultural issues 4 strong disciplinarian respected by the players (despite admitting recklessly in an interview that he has never fined a player and never will)
I do not think he will ever step down of his own free will. There might be some negotiations if he s asked to go and some statement saying there was some mutual agreement for the benefit of the club. The way he angled for the management when others were in place suggests that he will cling to the post never mind the £3-4 millions he is paid.
He thought it was going to be a lot easier than this. He had the funds and, he no doubt thought, he had the ability to inspire the players. When he sits in a corner sipping his scotch he's probably thinking that the job is too big for him and he'll step down in the summer claiming he's achieved his goals of stabilising the club and winning a trophy. The fans will be ****ing relieved but will publicly agree that Kenny's time in charge was a categorical success whilst slamming the new manager for not getting the best out of the legacy squad.
Rewriting history. They are good at history anyway. With Dalglish at the helm, their club has been in the news non-stop. Lovely entertainment for all of us but I am not sure their owners are happy. I am sure Benitez and Hodgson have great cause to be grateful to Dalglish for his unstinting support whilst they were manager please log in to view this image Not even worth 1 million he said please log in to view this image
