Sturridge should have hit that quicker but Jagielka with a great block to add to the one from Gerrard's shot earlier.

Putting rivalies aisde I think he's been one of the better defenders this year. By far better than Ferdinand this year and probably just as good as Vertonghen.

How many time is Fellaini going to push someone in the face and get away with it. First Agger, now Gerrard. Just because neither went to ground it seems not to matter.

Exactly. And then people wonder why players dive. Being Manly about it gets you nothing.

Downing has been awful but lucky for us Baines had an unusually bad first half

Can't stand Fellaini. **** player. Dirty player. No idea why people rate him so highly.

On balance, 0-0 is fair. It's been scrappy at times, but quite even. I think the ref's done well to keep the cards in his pocket and let the game flow.

Other than perhaps balance, I don't see what Downing brings to us at all. Henderson and Gerrard by far our best players, without their fight in the first half I wouldn't of been surpirsed to see us atleast one down. Sturridge is getting in to some good positions we just need better quality service in to him, Coutinho has been largely on the cusp of things but he showed a few glimpses of magic, just need a tad more in the second half.

I think Coutinho is being outmuscled and its pointless in him popping it past the defender and inviting the foul while the ref is being lenient (not criticising the ref for it, just stating that Coutinho won't get the protection he needs to be effective)

He's also being largely bypassed anyway with our hoof ball Everton mimicry......

Anyone else ready to hear how RHC went to the game with his blue friend, went to the crown, starred at girls, and drank pints of carling? <laugh>

What a sloppy game, Fellaini lucky with the elbows.

Rob in Newcastle on text: "Apart from Gerrard and Coutinho, Liverpool's team is so average it's almost impressive."

Morons who clearly don't watch football. Henderson's having a great game and is genuinely developing into a very good midfielder.

I'm sure last week it was " Apart from hendo and sturridge...." yadda yadda.

Well, here is for a better half where we keep the ball on the deck a bit more!
