I actually think Sam as dof would be worse than him as manager, at least him being manager is much more temporary with regards to style etc. If he's in charge of all football matters at the club then his style of balls into the box and percentages etc. would be engrained into every football aspect of the club from manager and player recruitment right down to the academy. To be blunt I can't think of anything worse, the bloke from philosophy to personality goes against everything we stand for as a club in my eyes and it will be an extremely sad day if/when he is employed by us. #****offsamallardyce
Do you think he’ll also be in charge of the food in the canteen as well? Charlie Austin will enjoy the non-stop pies and gravy anyway!
Just seen on Facebook a report that the Norwich Technical Director (ex Huddersfield) is being considered. Can't find the article again so can find his name sadly
Webber seems to be pretty well-regarded. Is he likely to leave a promotion-chasing team for one that could be heading in the opposite direction, though?
I sort of get why you hate him, but I also think he is better than anything we have. Every club he goes into, he improves, normally by making very good signings. If I recall, he also has also brought through some youth players - more so than sparky. He wasn’t made England’s manager for no reason, the jobs he did at Sunderland and Everton were extraordinarily good.
This is worth a read to understand Webber's rise: https://www.independent.co.uk/sport...unty-daniel-farke-stuart-webber-a8625396.html And more background on Webber here: https://www.htafc.com/news/2015/june/stuart-webber-joins-huddersfield-town/
This is worth a watch too in terms of his thinking and attitudes. Couple of interesting points: - he said he likes that Norwich’s board and ownership are domestically based, saidnhes not so keen on a model where the board are based in the US or China - he felt Huddersfield wasn’t in good health and had ‘poor practice’ ongoing when Ross Wilson left and he replaced Ross - interestingly, he cites Southampton as his target for Norwich to be like and emulate
The fact we've actually got Hughes and now have Allardyce as a contender tells you all you need to know about our demise.
