Discipline? Mmm, not sure the players will like that. As I said previously, get ready to run and run and run, boys.
What is his passion for fitness like? If it's similar to other 'pressing' coaches it is going to be a 'wake-up' Christmas for our slackers.

Think it’s the correct call in terms of getting someone in short term and see how they do this season, then re-assess in the summer. Always felt that 22 games is too long for our fan base to not turn against a manager (and seeing some of the comments being shared here justifies that I think) so going for someone with next season already in mind seemed risky and potentially could mean a Rohl/Corberan type who would be great options when we go down get tainted and another pay off/finding someone else in the summer Let’s see how he goes but definitely the correct decision for me to go short term
For the lolz, just looked up his stats on FM24. Defending - 16 Tactical - 16 Level of Discipline - 20
Happy that we've gone for a short term option. Makes more sense than already looking to next season and risk ruining that person's reputation with the fans. Like the sound of him from the very little I've read too.
Agree with all the above positive comments. Tbh, looks perfect from SR’s viewpoint. No compo, a 6 + 12m deal & IF he can achieve similar previous results with us, it could be a really great 2nd half of the season. COYS. My only down, why oh why did SR take so ****ing long to get rid of RM
We've got super Ivan Juric He just might be our Houdini Solid at the back Quick counter attacks Southampton staying in the premier league Prob need to win Sunday and boxing day though lol.
Yeah this is the next question with him. If his style is this high press man for man that is being suggested I don’t see that working too well against teams who will sit back when we are one of the stronger teams in the division. Anyway let’s worry about that if he turns out to do well for the remainder of this season
If the rumours are true - in particular about it only being a six month contract - then finally SR will have done something sensible on the managerial front. No compensation to pay to hire him, no compensation to pay to sack him. Just the cost of his salary etc for those six months. And then we appoint next season's manager in May (hopefully with talks starting before then), so that they will actually still be here come next season! If I had any hope of surviving, I would be quite depressed with this appointment. It smells of the type of appointment Watford would make. But given our circumstances, I think it makes total sense.
Yeah, interesting question. I guess a lot of it will then come down to how he feels about his working relationship with the players and the board. Might be done with it by then
