Someone should create a page as Jeremy and tell them to sort it out for a laugh.

Just go get N'Zogbia now man. Gervinho has pissed about long enough, and for all we know he could flop in the EPL. Least Charlie is proven and homegrown.

Gervinho!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Get your bitch ass doon to the toon man.

Tiote and Cabaye wish it!

Just tweeted by Mark Douglas and from the Chronicle site....

NEWCASTLE United are ready to dump their interest in Lille's Ivory Coast striker Gervinho.

The £10m-rated forward is a long-standing Toon target and has been heavily linked with a switch to St James’ Park this summer.

But the Chronicle understands that, despite reports claming that Gervinho doesn’t want to move to Tyneside, the truth is that United aren’t sold on the striker.

The club have met Gervinho to discuss a potential move but he did not impress senior figures at the club in those initial discussions.

There are also worries about where he will fit into United’s side – as well as concerns about his commitments in the African Nations Cup next January.

With multiple agents acting on his behalf, the fact that he’s now attracting interest from Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City means United have moved on to other targets.

Gervinho has an excellent record in France’s Ligue 1 and, along with Newcastle newcomer Yohan Cabaye, played a key part in their league and cup double last season.

But United do not want their foreign arrivals to disrupt a dressing-room spirit that has been key over the last couple of seasons.

That unity is already in question after problems with new contracts for Joey Barton and Kevin Nolan.

But United boss Alan Pardew has no doubt Cabaye – who completed a £4.3m move from French champions Lille last week – has what it takes to fit seamlessly into his new environment.

“To get a player like Yohan in so quickly has been a big bonus,” Pardew said.

“He is the sort of player I wanted in the centre of midfield as he is a little different to the others we have got in there – Kevin Nolan, Cheick Tiote and Danny Guthrie.

“He is a clever player and he is a busy player. We were watching him for a long time and we moved as soon as we could. We’re delighted he is here.

“He can spot a good pass and he is good on the ball.

“I think he will excite people next season, and it’s great to have one player in already.

“Not a lot of clubs have managed to do that, so it shows how much work we’ve done since January to get the players we need.”

in other words, we were stringing everyone along! Honestly, who is the club going to get of a similar quality. My optimism for the transfer window ahead had nosedived somewhat

There are other players out there. Yes he's clearly got talent but it doesn't mean he's gonna be the worlds best player? The board and management obviosuly don't think he's right for NUFC and therefore we should back them. No point spending a load of money on someone who's going to disrupt the club cause come January we'll all be slagging him to the hilt.

Arsenal have been tracking him for years and have waited until now to make another move which to me speaks volumes about his attitude.

Well, that's fair enough. If Gervinho had a bit of an ego and 'bigger than the club' attitude about him at talks with the club, then I'd rather not have him. Especially when you compare it to someone like Cabaye who seems like a thoroughly nice bloke who is very excited to be here.
