As I predicted above, Ferrari will be bringing a new front wing to China: Fernando Alonso: "In Shanghai, we are due to try a new front wing and a few other aero updates" http://www.ferrari.com/english/scud...4/13/in-china-to-seize-every-opportunity.aspx Possibly could be flexible wing, especially as they had that camera measuring FW flex in Malaysia Practice.
Hello Guys, I think that Vettel will win simply because of his immense talent when put under pressure, yes last year he cracked a few times but he now has the experience and the motivation to become a double world champion. I can see Lewis and Jenson closing the poduim in that order. About Ferrari, I think the most they can do before the big Spain update that all the teams will bring and have, they can only achieve max 4th with Fernando if Mark Webber doesn`t have the same pace as his teammate. Should be an interesting weekend in Shanghai.
Same old idiots in China: http://www.planetf1.com/driver/18227/6868980/Same-stewards-panel-for-Chinese-GP
Ha. Someone quotes: No wonder lewis was penailised .. the fact that a former Scuderia Italia driver was a stewart in that race says it all ..
Fernando Alonso broke a rule. 16.1 e) states: "Incident" means any occurrence or series of occurrences involving one or more drivers, or any action by any driver, which is reported to the stewards by the race director (or noted by the stewards and referred to the race director for investigation) which: causes an avoidable collision.
It was a pointless penalty seen as Alonso didn't actually loose anything, but hey stops people moaning for him not getting a penalty I guess. Wasn't really deserving of a penalty in my eyes, but that's for discussion on another thread, try to keep this one about China (I'm probably the worst for wandering off topic )
WHAT!!! OF course he deserved a penalty he cras....... Ok we will leave that for another thread and time. Looking towards China though.... Who thinks HRT can qualify and Can Virgin qualify??? They seem to be way off the pace of Lotus so I wonder if its wet in Qualifying they and HRT might fail to meet the 107% rule.
Lewis broke a rule too. Dont you think it was a bit harsh they both got penalised for a misjudgement on both sides? dont you think the damage and having to repair in the pits was punishment enough? Dont you think its a bit silly some people are going on and on about something so trivial?
Ok mate I am new here and dont want to start any arguments so sorry if I was going on and on about it.
They both should make it, Virgin still have a little over HRT at the moment, but not that much. Since the top teams will go through Q1 on hard tires that gives HRT and Virgin an extra second or so to play with. If the track is slippery we may see them getting close to the limit though.
Sorry, and welcome to the forum. I just dont get why either of them should of got punished. But like BLS said we should stay on topic. Anybody know the Tv and Race times?
8am race start? But check, I aint taking grief if you tune in mid way through the race BBC race START times, not coverage start times:
BLS is Right with the times. Although the BBC always start their coverage 1 hour before Qualy and The race.
Oh come on..... Alonso drove up Lewis' backside and should have punctured his tyre by rights. If that isn't careless/dangerous and rule breaking, what is? Unavoidable - err NO - - - BAD DRIVING.
Bergkamp: Yea try explaining that to a police officer on a public road, yes officer, I drove into the back of the car in front and it was his fault, because a couple of miles back he stopped me overtaking him by weaving twice, please lock him up, yea right.
Yes, an interesting point. I think it is highly probable that Alonso/Ferrari went into verbal attack mode because they saw their own case as indefensible, unless it was a direct excuse: i.e. "he had to crash into him because he had been prevented from passing earlier", which of course is lacking some subtlety, even by Alonso and Ferrari standards.
