I know Alonso used a set of options in Q1 but why did Webber run two sets of primes?

Button clearly has a cold. Else he would have won. Easily. :)

Button was on a 3 stop and Webber on 4 stop, but they both pitted within a lap of each other for their last stints, Button coming out of the pits about 5 secs ahead of Webber but finished 12 seconds clear, so on the same period stint on the same tyres Button pulled out 7 seconds on him.

Did Ferrari blow it by investing in Alonso's start and switching to fight for 1st instead of 3rd?

Interesting. Webber seemed pretty broken after the race: did he give up on it before the end? He seems to have lost something compared to last year.

Mark Blundell had better do his duty for king and country.

The stewards should DSQ them all and give Alonso 2nd place.

No I think he was just too slow.

Vettel got ahead by pitting before him, while Hamilton got ahead by pitting after him - which basically meant that the moment they pitted in different laps, Alonso was at a huge disadvantage.

He did all he could in the race - defended all he could and kept decent lap times but Ferrari gave him a slow car and wrong strategy. A very anticlimactic finish - but still probably one of the most interesting Spanish GP's.

At worst it will be a 20sec time penalty, so Alonso would be way too far behind to gain anything.

Oh, surely not? I wouldn't be surprised though... Just pissed off. I hate when they change the result post-race.

Hmm, well if they all get penalised, nothing should change unless its a big penalty. Alonso should be too far adrift to gain from it, the standard penalty is 25 seconds right?

Good point, I think Webber was over 25 secs in front of Alonso so should not change anything, unless the FIA want to take a special initiative and disqualify them all.

They may all be under investigation but that doesn't mean they're all guilty. Webber was only twelve seconds behind Button.

They'll struggle to justify anything mote than a 25s penalty, but I doubt that'll happen anyway

Great Race. Seb once again gets the job done. Fantastic job by Lewis and Jenson not to forget Michael as well. Fernando's first lap start was shortlived, but nevertheless its 5th the max of their potential.

But with the gap Hamilton had over Button and Webber who also are under investigation's the positions should stay the same apart from being maybe 25.6 off Vettel.

Carno - if you won't reduce the size of your sig, can you at least change it to "Sir Frank 'I know what I'm doing' Williams"? Thx.

    Cheers. Much better.

Oi - Jordan: Santander offer Ferrari exclusive deal until 2016 and pull out of McLaren deal; Ferrari sign Alonso until 2016. There's a link there.
