What a win - what a performance. Absolutely superb by everyone.

I couldn't be more proud of the manager and the players tonight.

Beaten Klopp and Pep in a matter of days - I could get used to this.

Let's rally the troops, end the season strong and then win our 14th FA Cup <diva>

Absolutely buzzing!

How long has it been since we can this about our team ?

Tactically we have been in the doldrums for years. Tonight we completely out thought and out fought City.

I'm so pleased for Arteta and the players, their hard work is beginning to pay off.

<cracker>

For entertainment value lads, I had a look on a Spurs forum called 'The Fighting Cock' to see how they felt about us being in the cup final.

Here's some quality content:

Totti: "lol and theyre gonna finish above us too. brilliant."

Igula: "LOL. The luck is unreal."

bus-conductor: "**** right off. Switching over to the Milan game."

Hotspurio: "Jammiest pricks of all time"

Thin Lily-white Duke: "To be clear, I am not suggesting a conspiracy: but Woolwich's rub of the green in the FA Cup since it started being sponsored by Emirates is flabbergasting."

R3NW5: "Bitter at how many times this could have been us and despite how **** they are at the moment it's them. Again."

Hotspurio (again): "Imagine, IMAGINE if one of their ****tiest teams ever still wins a cup over us. Really brings things into perspective about how wasted our previous teams were."

<laugh><laugh><laugh><laugh>

I can taste the saltiness and bitterness - and I LOVE it.

I really just hope this doesn’t turn into last years Europa League final, the one where we were embarrassed and basically didn’t turn up.

I hope Arteta has the players fired up for the final. It’s incredible that despite this being such a **** season, it could be our best one in 3/4 years <laugh><laugh>

Tonight you played the game perfect against City, **** going head to head and defending from the front. Defend 15 yards from your area and challenge them to walk through you, all they kept doing was going wide and crossing to 3/4 midgets in the box which meant no threat. In some ways similar to the Liverpool game but you had more of the ball in that game and walked through their midfield when you had it.
Tactical triumph for Arteta on both occasions with his counterparts having no idea how to react to it.

Agree that tactics were spot on. I’m curious if ultimately this is how well always set up against the big teams, or if this is moreso temporary due to us having an abundance of players not up to par. (Mind you these not-up-to-par players just beat city and Liverpool!)

What a performance last night, very happy and proud.
we need Leicester to do us a favour today to make my weekend :)

going forward I think a back 3 of
Saliba
Tierney
Mari or Luiz Or new CB
with Holding on rotation.
still would sell Mustafi as he dives in too much.

then the WB/FB of Bellerin/Soares and AMN and Saka as well.

Midfield
Xhaka Ceballos Partey ?
Guendozzy and Torreira as rotation.

Forwards:
Auba, Laca, Martenelli, Necktie, Pepe, Saka, Nelson, Willock.

loan out
John-Jules
Smith-Rowe
and other youngsters to get more experience.

Sell:
Mustafi
Ozil
Chambers
Miki to Roma
Kolasanac

Plenty of wages saved** and give it all to Auba and laca so they sign new contracts

the squad doesn’t need a massive overhaul but does need trimming and then some investment*.

*hope we don’t get Fraser on a free, but IMO Willian could be a good addition as long as he doesn’t use all of our wage savings**

I read that City thought the game was won before they came on to the field. Serves them bloody right! Pep now in need of some Pepto-Bismol (for upset stomachs!)

peps body language was strange at the end of the game 10 mins to go and he was sitting looking lost.. if he was my manager i want him shouting and directing till the last kick... especially with arsenal defensive record .

Obvioulsy we need to bring in another defender but most of all we lack creativity and ball carriers in midfield.

I still hope we get Thomas Partey.
Barca have apparentley shown an interest in Guendouzi - perhaps a swap deal for Coutinho?

the swap has already been muted, would be happy with it as we get an experienced PL baller

We’re playing pretty poorly. I don’t think we’ve even had a shot on target the whole game.

this against villa - second worst defensive record in the league.

Probably the worst performance under Arteta.

looking very jaded and disinterested.

you have to question the 6 changes today as well. Were they necessary?

I know it sounds like an overreaction...

...but I’m seriously embarrassed to be an arsenal fan tonight. What a terrible performance; hope Arteta gives them the hairdryer.

No European football via the league this season. Pure embarrassment.

That was absolutely horrific. To not have a shot on target against a team that were in the relegation zone and have one the most porous defences in the league....utterly humiliating.

They should have won by more as well. Shameful from absolutely everyone. I hope Arteta gives them the hairdryer treatment.

Woeful display.

Does anyone else question Arteta's managerial record?

Hes now lost more games than Emery this season.

He has the FA Cup final...

....but surely there should be some questions asked?
