Bit depressing that rather than get better and better, it appears we just had a 6 month honeymoon period and now the players don't seem to give a **** again.

We have seen better performances against big teams and shown a resilience, arsenal are not as soft...
He needs more time to move more players on and get replacements.
I’ll start with one positive - because there weren’t many.
but I think under emery, Wenger, and Ljungberg, we would have lost that game after going down to 10 men.

Saka I think was another positive, played brilliantly when coming on wish he started over pepe
I never want to see Pepe play for us again. This was a must win game and his petulance (triggered by absolutely nothing serious) arguably cost us that. He wasn't trusted enough as it was by Arteta, you think he's ever going to be trusted again? No chance. Get rid.
We did well to even get a draw in those circumstances, although they hit the woodwork 3 times.
And even in saying that, we looked more threatening when we were down to 10 men than with 11.
I'm glad we didn't crumble. But in the wider scheme of things, a draw does us no favours. We needed a win.

I have to say - just my opinion -
I think a ‘world class’ manager would be getting more out of this side.

Sometimes I think we should stay with all the youths, saka, Nelson and niket
I think he will become a world class manager, and if we did not pick him up now arsenal may have regreted it.
He needs time we all have to look long term
We are so **** at the moment and I can’t fathom why, we played well against United and since then nothing
I don't know why we didn't buy Zaha instead of Pepe.
Zaha would have hit the ground running but Pepe is totally out of his depth so far.
Who is a world class manager? Apart from Klopp who I think would improve any team he went to before too long, everyone else I kind of think there's pros and cons to. My big worry with Arteta is his learning under Fraudiola. That tiki taka ****e is out of date. It worked at Barca with a prime Messi. But everywhere else its been mediocre at best. Constant slow passing and fearful passing sideways and backwards. And we're so ****e at pressing compared to other teams. When we get pressed we get pushed further and further back, invariably panic with a **** backpass and Leno lumps it either out or up top to Laca who has no presence. Compare that to when we press and the opponent defenders just calmly pass it around, thread it through to their midfield and counter attack at will.
I personally wanted Ancelotti at the time, I think he would be doing better than Arteta, but I have no way to prove that obviously.
To be fair, hindsight is 20/20. Palace wanted 80m for Zaha who was 27 at the time. Pepe was 72m and 24 with arguably more potential.
Everyone was excited for Pepe. But it does look like he’s turning out to be a flop - certainly not worth anywhere near his price tag.
I’ve a few Arsenal mates, throw in my dislike of Manchester and Chelsea and with Leeds absence I’ve always wanted Arsenal to walk away with the title.
I’ve not watched a lot of PL games but each season I’ve managed to take in 2-3 games involving Arsenal and I’ve got to say, that was the worst Arsenal team I’ve seen in 35 years.
Maybe it was an off day for you lot but before the game I’d have snapped a hand off for 0-0 in our previous two games we shipped 8 goals but today it feels as bad as a huge defeat, I just don’t know how we never got all three points.
I think you need a coach who can handle the likes of Ozil and bring the best out of him, a weird situation indeed.
Well with the Arteta debate I will say defensively we have better shape and tactically the players know what they are supposd to be doing - Can't say that under Emery. The team also plays with more aggression.
But soo far I feel like his team selections are worse than Freddie and Emery.
You cant tell me Guendouzi doesnt offer anything to this side!? You cant tell me Saliba isnt going to offer anything!
How about at least trying Ceballos in a creative position..

If Ozil does'nt work hard enough for midfield surely even on the wing he would give us some creativity? Even as a sub if we need something different?
How many chances do Willian and Pepe really deserve?

Pff. Average at Dortmund. And right now he's doing vaguely OK with PSG but his win percentage there is slightly lower than Emery's so that's a pretty big indictment.
Once again I don't think it's the individual abilities of the personnel. Every year we say we need this player, we need that player, blah blah. But almost this EXACT team were playing good football last season under Arteta. Attacking well. Hungry. Bustling. Now they don't seem to care. Look lethargic.
It's like England 15 years ago when we always had at least one major player injured and we'd all say 'ah, if only we had Rooney fit'. 'Ah if only we had Joe Cole fit'. There's always *someone else* who you think could come in and make a difference but the longer it goes on with more and more players coming and going, you start to think maybe it's not the players' abilities that are the problem. Attitude. Training. Tactics. Cohesion. Desire. I think right now we could put Aouar, Upemacano and Mane in our team and we'd still play dour, pedestrian ****e and then we'd all start debating about how we actually needed *another player* to fix the problems we had.
I still have time for Arteta, but **** me it's boring and painful to watch us right now. And no-one has unlimited amounts of time. If we're still picking up 1.5pts per game by end of season and still this dull to watch I'm not sure I'd still have time for him. It might not be his fault at all that the players have downed tools and it might be 100% on them for all we know, but if he at least can't fix the problem then someone else needs to try to.
He was average at Dortmund that's why i wasnt soo keen on him at the time.
But looking at him at PSG I just think he looks like a real talented young manager. His teams play good football with intensity, he makes good tactical decisions I like him. Very Klopp-esque and at least we would play exciting football which we hav'nt done for 5-6 Seasons.
But he's won less games than Emery did there. And Emery was ****e for us.
The one thing going for him is he plays attacking football with a 4-3-3. But he's still not won as many games as Emery did.
