One thing I will say...

imagine if arteta doesn’t manage to ever get this team going. Can you imagine the outrage at the board for choosing him as our manger?

it’s still early in the arteta reign, but I’m still not sure if he will end up a flop or manage to be a success.

We've tried various managers now. **** it. We haven't got a wet flannel in charge now at least. Let's just settle in for the long haul and see what Arteta can do. It didn't take liverpool that many years to go from mid-table mediocrity to one of the best in the world so there's always hope.

It's really ****ing depressing being an Arsenal fan right now. :(

We've got a clutch of really good players, but our defence (and I include the whole defensive mentality of the team) is absolutely woeful. We are as fragile as **** and simply do not have any backbone as a team.

I have the same opinion with us and Ole mate, we have tried the big names with "philosophies" and "projects", now we have a football man who cares about the club and the game.
Give them a chance i say.
 
I see the players getting alot of blame and rightly so but c'mon the line-ups these last two matches have been unacceptable.

How can Martinelli (cleaarly the best youngster at the club) not even get on the pitch on the pitch when we are allowed 5 subs.

Nketiah down the middle ahead of:
  • Aubameyang in his best/preferred position
  • Lacazette
  • Martinelli
Tierney on the wing?!

I really dont understand what he is doing.

Yeah I don't get that either.

Surely it has to be Auba down the middle and Martinelli on the left.

At present can't pick best 11 every game. Games are coming to fast. Maybe martinelli was planned in future game.. Who knows.. I would guess players are picked on fitness. Some players may have been lazy during break and no where near match fit..

Maybe a strange lineup but jeez... If Arteta plays Emiliano Martinez up front like you seem to want then I'll give up.
 
I never would have thought Xhaka and Mustafi would be our best defender and midfielder. Have they improved? or are we more terrible then we thought?
 
Nice to get a win.

Rob Holding getting the MOTM award for a decent display too.

Saka played well in midfield I thought (kinda crazy that Arteta would rather play Saka in midfield than play Ozil)

We looked a bit cagey for most the match but when we scored the second goal you could see the confidence coming back.

Goal ruled out by VAR - (luckily) but we just dont have that aggression, determination you see in teams like Liverpool and City.
 
We look soo much better after scoring a goal.

There's an obvious confidence issue with this side. Could do with a few Henry/Vieira type characters.
 
Someone needs to sit AMN down and say look if you want to play every week for arsenal it's at right back. I think he's the best RB at the club
