Looking at this line-up you could almost say that Arteta prioritised the Europa league match.
Would like to see Martinelli playing though over Nketiah.

 

Would love us to sign Richarlison. Gonna be a class player.

Auba is a ****ing beast.

 

I wonder how much a 23 yo Aubameyang would cost in todays market. He really is superb.

 

Can’t believe they got the equaliser at the end there. Thought from 15mins onward we played really well. Closed the ball, passed quickly, took the ball past the first man. Exactly what I want to see from us. Gutted they scored that late goal.

 

i actually think that other than the choice to go Eddie and kolasinac over Saka and Martinelli/Laca this was a really strong starting line up. Once Saka came on we were on fire.

And fair play on the choice to play Nketiah as he took his goal really well. He has given away a few soft free kicks though.

 

Sigh.

Well we played well thought Ceballos was quality. Auba as deadly as ever.

But those two centre backs - I dont care how well they can distribute they just DONT command the penalty area at all. As a striker you would look at those two and think you could bully them.

 

Luiz has been good defensively in the last few games but with him and Mustafi both in the back line there’s too much unpredictability.

Are Mari and Holding not doing enough in training?

 

When the team is working hard enough to allow it, I really like Ceballos and Ozil both on the pitch.

 

Maybe my first choice 11 would be....

If we play like we did from 15-45 mins for the rest of the game I’m still confident we can win this. Just need to manage the game if we score again!

I definitely agree with most of that - just can’t make my mind up on who is the best choice CB pairing.

 

Today has felt like flashes of the old arsenal - exciting going forward, passing in tight spaces. I want more of that!

 

Also that cross from Saka for the first goal was a beauty. His delivery has been phenomenal recently
