Yes, I like a good Claret - I actually had a 25 yr old (stored away), duty-free bottle of Glenfiddich, that my 16 & 18year old daughters demolished last summer (along with the rest of the liquor cabinet) partying while the rest of our family were away on summer vacation at the ocean. They likely "abused" it by adding coke, pepsi, ginger ale etc.

Also like G&T as a summer drink, along with Pimms Cup and of the course the staple good draft beer.

G & T with ice and a slice of lime, great as an appetiser or in the garden on a sunny day. If I really want to get my rocks off then it's a Southern Comfort on ice with Dry Ginger...

About 12 months ago I became all too aware that I had become all too dependent on a bottle of red of an evening, capped off by maybe 2-3 too many (large) thimbles of JD before beddy-byes. So I cut it out. I've probably drunk about 15 units in the last year or so, and nothing since New Year.

So, fave drink now is sparking water splooshed over some freshly squeezed lemon juice. Sharp enough to mimic the bite of a stiff drink and generally keeps me in control.

If only poor Gazza could find out the same.

    Good man Uber.

Similar but not to the extreme for me.

About 3 years ago I was topping 100 units a week - working late, cramming in 4 pints in the hour before closing time and some shots when I got home to help me sleep. Big drinking weekends too.

I now have about 5 pints on a Friday and the same on a Saturday.

Carlsberg or Fosters is my poison.

Havnae drank for 3 years now barring one hiccup. So my favourite drink is tea!

But it used always be Carlsberg. Great minds eh Matty?! When I first started drinking I drank Harp but it went out of the pubs in the Republic so I switched over to Carlsberg which is very similar.

Whenever in the UK, I loved to drink John Smith's Smooth. A lovely pint.

Apparently they don't drink Fosters at all in Oz Matt. They just brew it to export for us foreigners.

I'm ashamed to say my social ineptitude stops me from giving up completely (odd month here or there aside). I suppose that's as much down to the social culture of Britain though (not really a dinner party kinda guy so meeting mates tends to be a pub thing).

When I was in Denmark, they did some fantastic Carlsberg varieties from winter beers to more standard but richer lagers.

I am generally more of a caffeine fiend now though.

    Easily done Uber.
I suspect there are an awful lot of people who think that their bottle of wine EVERY night isn't a problem.
