In the next film I'll look forward to him being blown to a bloody smithereens by an ISIS scud missile hitting him square in the nuts before he strolls into the next scene with all limbs intact, no explanation given, and gets stuck into a scantily clad woman with a questionable command of the English language.
Very average film. After the amazing opening sequence I expected big things but the rest of the film was dour. Casino royale and sky fall are a lot better. Such hype for such cliches. Crap. However, the Martian is fantastic
Christoph walz the baddie in spectre was in one of my favourite films django, the newer version, he's so funny in it, I normally cannot stand leonardo de caprio but in that he plays a good part... Really good film
Waltz is even better in Inglorious Basterds. He won the Oscar for supporting actor for both Basterds and Django too.
The previous record was Skyfall, wasn't it? I know that is currently the highest grossing film ever in the UK.
Another one of my favourite films, I think he's really dry, great sense of humour, seen some of his interviews and that's how he come across..
Just checked a couple of film sites like Rotten Tomatoes, and since the reviews from the USA started coming out, it's gone from an 85-90% score to 65%. Guess Yanks just don't get it. One of the reviews said it was the worst Bond film in 30 years. He has seen all of the Brosnan films (bar Goldeneye, which is class), or Quantum of Solace, or A View to a Kill (which is 30yrs ago exactly)?
The great thing about the Daniel craig films is that they've moved far away from ****e in the brosnan ones like a massive **** off satellite laser and invisible cars.
Die Another Day is just pure garbage. I kinda feel sorry for Brosnan, because he himself was a good Bond, it's just that the films after his debut were a bit ****.
Goldeneye is up there with the best. I'd love to see a percentage of films that feature Sean Bean not dying, poor sod never makes it to the end credits.
It was my favourite until a couple of weeks ago when I rewatched Casino Royale for the first time in a few years. Forgot just how much I loved that film. It'll probably switch around again next time I watch or play Goldeneye.
Well. Who cares? Me and the witch enjoyed it. 19 quid for the tickets, and 18 quid for popcorn and a drink, no, that can GTF. The actual film though, good story for us, great action, and Craigs moved Bond into the current century without destroying what he is.
The Martian. Without giving away the ending, did anybody else think it was written in a way that seems to be setting it up not just for Daniel Craig to be leaving, but also for it to be a full reboot with the next Bond being maybe younger (as in younger than a normal Bond is in their first film) and at the start of their life as a Spy. I'd have to watch the last films of other Bonds to be sure, but from memory they've mostly felt like they could be followed up by another film or two, this one didn't.
