Hmmmmmmm this would certainly be interesting but it is not the 1st time some scientists have claimed this to have happened.... I have spent far too long studying stuff like this for it to be incorrect! If it is, I will go on an all day binge and cry in a drunken stupor :(

Having drank every night since Thursday I certainly don't feel human. But it is certainly interesting.

Wouldn't be much fun when you remember there's no going back though <laugh>. Which reminds me of this:

Yeah at first I thought it was from a school yard experiment but it turns that it's from the CERN, and the most qualified international physicists, so yeah a high chance it could be true. But I hope not cos that would f*ck 100 years of (relativistic) physics. Btw I always knew physics was f*cked up that's why I chose maths ...

  8. I'm pretty sure Albert Einstein said we wouldn't be able to get anything of significant size to travel at the speed of light, not "It's impossible for anything to travel at the speed of light".

I'm no scientist but I was under the impression that he proved that nothing could travel faster than the speed of light, not any form of energy or matter or anything.

E=mc^2 states that as an object travels faster, it would get heavier and would require more energy to continue to accelerate. So basically, he said that in order to get to the speed of light (300000000m/s) it would require infinte energy and reach infinite mass which as I am sure you can appreciate is impossible. Either way, this discovery is interesting!
