    1.76!

Apparently it's hit 1.90 in parts of Italy, it's ****ing crazy!

Food is more here actually, literally just tabs and booze cheaper, not a cheap place to live at all!

as the man Starsky (and another poster) said, DO IT, just DO IT.

Don't live life with regrets. There's nothing worse than the 'if only' and if it don't work out, there's always somewhere else that you could try...or you head back yem. I took me until foreign location number 3 before I felt settled...and location number 4 is on the cards later this year. I still miss blighty but the odd long weekend at home with mates/family/match and a good old swallie down a proper pub gives me my fix.

My house is still standing and making an income, so what's to lose? You never know til you try.

    Best of luck

I'm a proud Englishman and a NE lad through and through and for me, the temptation to move abroad never appealed. I love the quirky weather and the idiosyncrasies that make this nation so special. I love the scenery, the coastline and the people.

Yes it may be sunnier elsewhere; yes it may have better paid jobs somewhere else but for all that, no other country in the world has ALL the right ingredients to make a go of it. England is the number one nation on the planet and nothing and no one can ever change my mind. I am not blinkered and consider myself fairly well travelled, with an open mind and a cosmopolitan outlook on life.

For all that, nothing beats this country and especially not the NE of England which is simply the very best of all.
