****ing PROTESTS? Honestly I despair. Where were these people when Short had us in debt up to our eyeballs or when the chuckle brothers had us close to the brink? This has been the only fairly poor season under this regime and it isn't exactly a **** show. Financially we are in a good place, have a squad of sellable assets, academy is up and running again, womens team doing great, ground upgrades coming, off the field things seem to be coming together, exciting new kit deal.

So why the **** are we protesting?

I'll be protesting the ripped flag outside the stadium. I'm fuming about that.

I would generally agree. I can understand why people are disappointed. It feels like what obviously needed sorting didn’t get sorted. Two, pretty much three managers pointed it out and it never got fixed last window. I probably back Mowbray on this as they made things frustrating for him by choosing the wrong players in Hemir, Burstow and Rusyn for the short term, and trusting Ekwah, with a zero defensive mindset, to do a defensive job. Possibly borne out of ego, possibly financial who knows but they misjudged it. Look at Man Utd’s signings, some of Liverpool’s also (they are being revived by younger players over those more experienced in some ways) but have a better blend - but spend 100 million. We can’t. I imagine they knew in winter what they needed but why they didn’t ? Who knows why but we have to live with it. Bad signings happen, if they continue people go and might well do. It’s crucial more are good than bad. What I do think is that we have to call out hysteria. We may get worse than what we have, it isn’t all bad, it tars us with a tarnished brush. We think we’re the best fans and we can be but I’ve seen some embarrassing things go on, including on this board since Bealewas rumoured, so in order to be the best fans we have to challenge the entitled mag like hysteria or it’s on all of us and I’m not prepared to be associated while saying nowt.

Cannot say I agree with him at all. Hiring a new coach now taints them immediately. I want the team to limp to the finish line and to take a break. Think the fans need a break too.

While the team are away the new coach, hired in the first few days/ firstweek of the off-season (any later is, in my mind, an almost unforgivable blunder) should be working with the recruitment team to get things ship shape.

This season is ****ed. If the summer is handled right we can have a good season next time out. If they **** the summer then heads probably need to roll.

But I absolutely disagree with bringing a new man in when so many more options open up at the end of the season.

I read it earlier, it is pretty brutal but not without foundation, it will be interesting to see how big the crowd is on Saturday and the reaction if god forbid we go behind. By and large the majority of the support has been very patient me included but we are at a stage now where actions speak louder than words. If this is allowed to continue then its negligible by the ownership.

I've read that piece from Scott Wilson, its a good piece. I can't say I entirely agree with it but definitely see the argument.

If the club wait until the summer to appoint somebody who was out of work now, its not a good look.

I don't however agree with him that KLD needs to come out and tell the fans we've found a manager but he's in work. For one, that would be admitting we (and that manager) have broken rules. Secondly they've already told us Dodds will be here until the end of season.

I also don't think we should move away from our preferred candidate to find somebody out of work now. That makes little sense to me.

So whilst I think its a well written and thought out piece, and I agree with most of it, I don't agree with everything he says.

Yeah, over the top journo at it's very worst. To talk of a new head coach "sifting through the wreckage" is nowhere near reporting any kind of proper assessment of the situation, and suggesting KS and KLD lack of action is " indifference or ineptitude",simply confirms the article as beyond any credence.
Hopefully most of our fans will use this newsprint paper to light their fire, put their chips in or wipe their arse.

This. It’s stupid. Sadly I agree that the spin has got us to a place where the fans or many of them don’t trust the narrative. They can’t say ‘our signings are ****e’ but equally trying to sugar coat ****e means you can still smell ****e. That bit about trust I think is true and they need to shut up and walk the walk in the summer. I also think it’s hard to argue that they haven’t ballsed up over Mowbray but that started the week before the play offs not November.

Imo one of the biggest mistakes the club have made is not growing a set and sacking Mowbray after the Luton game. Everyman and his dog knew he wasn't the man the club wanted to take them forward (rightly or wrongly) and from then on it was when he would go and not if. Our preferred head coach was then off the table.

Sacking TM after the Luton match would have taken the wisdom of Job.....hindsight has to be put into context marra.
