When you go into WhatsApp you have 'chats' and 'updates' as options on the top.menu. the safc stuff will be under 'updates '
Under the 'updates' bit you should see safc as a channel. You can turn on/off notifications for them. It's all pretty quiet so far but is Musk charges for Twatter then this will.explode as a comms platform imo. Good on the club for getting ahead of the game
“Recruitment has to be key. I was talking to Stuart Harvey [head of recruitment] in my office the other day. I think he’s taking three days off, then he’s away all around the world. "He was telling me the countries he’s booked into – he’s going to South America, then back to various parts of Europe, he’s going everywhere. Why do you do that? Because if we have a scenario where we sell someone for £20m, then we have to be able to buy a £5m footballer somewhere, not [just] a £600,000 player from Ligue 2 in France. "We have to be able to improve, and keep the team really strong. So, Stuart has to go and see some top teams now. Why would Stuart go and watch a Champions League game when we’re not at that level? Well, just in case we were to sell somebody for mega-bucks, that might be the market we’re looking at. "Can we find a player who’s young and we can develop? Okay, we might have to pay a certain price for him, but we might have got that amount times four for the player we’ve just sold. They have to look at all the markets, and that’s what we’re doing." (Tony Mowbray speaking to the Sunderland Echo)
That's a bit out of left field, not even a sniff of it happening. Wonder how that Crown Works Studios plan is progressing.
It’s a relatively minor role. Will attend a few board meetings a year. Like Dave Jones. Still nice to get more fans on the board. Not that I had any concerns before.
More really positive stuff for the city and the club… Awarded an Honorary Doctorate of Art from the University of Sunderland earlier this summer, Leo was an Executive Producer of the critically renowned Netflix series Sunderland ‘Til I Die. Led by Pearlman, Fulwell 73 are also spearheading a proposal with Cain International to build a major film studio in Sunderland that would bring jobs and significant economic benefits to the region. The development of Sunderland-based Crown Works Studios will be one of the largest filmmaking complexes in Europe and is projected to create 8,450 jobs across the North East over the next decade. Pearlman said: “Kyril and his team have done a quite remarkable job of turning our Club’s fortunes around in an incredibly short space of time. They have once again made us a Club one can be proud to support, a Club with a clear vision and a bright future, and a Club heading in only one direction. The City of Sunderland and SAFC are inextricably linked – when one thrives the other benefits and when both thrive, there's no stopping us. I am incredibly excited at being given the opportunity to help contribute to that future and intend to do all I can to deliver on our unlimited potential.” Kyril Louis-Dreyfus added: “Leo is a lifelong supporter of the Club and someone we have closely worked with on a range projects throughout the past two-and-a-half years. His immense passion for Sunderland AFC and the City of Sunderland makes him a natural fit within our organisation and we are delighted to welcome him to our Board of Directors, as we continue to develop and grow on and off the pitch.” Pearlman’s appointment is subject to EFL approval and upon completion of this process, it is expected that he will take up his position later this month.
You have just reminded me. I don't live in the North East anymore but I assume there is no longer anyone unemployed as the Saudis invest in the whole region. I remember the mags were very kindly not upset about the football side but how good the investment would be for the whole of the North East! Good of them really!
Yeah they were also very concerned about workers right when Ashley was being looked at about zero hour contracts. Good eggs!
With this and the bloke we recruited from the MLS, it feels like things are starting to accelerate behind the scenes.
Aye all the food banks have closed and everyone lives in a warm house and has full bellies. God bless them loveable Saudi rogues
