If I was to be asked,I would say I trust the ownership we currently have.I think KLD is very bright, has surrounded himself with sensible advisors, and has appointed another very bright lad in KS to oversee day by day operations.I would say that KLD has already seen the opportunity the article is claiming the Saudi fella may be interested in,well before.I think I saw JS on Tuesday night too.....and,between them, given the psr rules,I think the financial backing we have is more than substantial. When you put that with the exciting development projects around the area, which are already taking place,I think the future of the City and it's prized possession,is the most optimistic I think I've seen.
KLD is a tremendous owner, no matter what the numpties think. JS, I can understand some of the unease around, but ultimately he's an investor rather than the controlling owner and if it works for KLD then that's fine with me. There's been a lot of noise around additional investment and it wouldn't surprise me if someone else came in. If that is an independent businessman from the middle-east or anywhere else, that's fine but someone like Turki would not have our values at heart. He's all about promoting Saudi through sport.
Thriving academy, multiple big assets in the squad we can sell, one game away from the Premier League, low wage bill, investment in a new shop, kit deal, stadium etc. Can't remember the last time we were this well ran
Got to hand it to the likes of Bruce et al, I'm tempted to get 1 https://www.safcstore.com/en/sunder...1-1380642591?_ref=p-SFLP:m-GRID:i-r18c0:po-54
If Tuesday doesnt get KLD more excited and feel like he wants to be even more committed then I'm not sure what will. Made some mistakes of course (who hasnt), but the transformation under him is exceptional, the scenes on Tuesday were set in motion by the decisions he'd made from the start, he deserves to achieve his goal from his takeover next Saturday. His method with the youth policy is quite admirable if you take your red and white blinkers off, especially when you add in the home grown lads being given chances and especially in this day and age where billions are getting chucked at players left right and centre. As far as any Saudi or Middle east regimes, I dont want them anywhere near us. I'd be devastated if a moment like Tuesday always had an asterisk next to it. We've survived over a century without buying trophies and moments, I like things how they are. If a wealthy investor wants to join in and try and push us to bigger things and even compete for a trophy, then thats great, but not these Saudi types. Not for me, ever.
