First we had the 'poppy police' now we have someone telling us what our political beliefs have to be! I thought that thousands of men died so that we could have freedom to choose and speak. We have votes and freedom to make choices so please do so. This is a football forum, not a platform for hammering political beliefs at people.
Froggy - having watched the 16 minute video of PDC this afternoon, do you seriously still want to have this post as your lasting thoughts on this matter? I think you have been massively wrong here and maybe you want to reconsider it. I think he could close this thread with a similar comment though Steve. This has been the worst example of a media witch-hunt I have seen in decades in a sporting arena. This topic has never been mentioned once in any great detail in all the time he has been in England as a player or a manager. In fact whilst at WHU, he was lauded and applauded for sportsmanship and honour in the game. Now all of a sudden he is Adolf Hitler reborn (I can already see that Hitler you tube in my mind now Lol) and its ridiculous. Sadly, lads like Froggy seem to have been pulled in and swayed by it without actually hearing the man himself. Once you do, you get a completely different feel for the man and his beliefs. I like what I heard today and hope he can take that into games now and keep us up. Whether this is a good long term appointment is still up for debate but his passion, hunger and desire are not. He will be different but certainly not a fascist.

I never post but I understand the adverse reaction to DiCanio's political outlook. However I like to judge people for their actions and their current comments not on hearsay or what they said years ago. People can evolve. So let us see what happens before we condemn him

The economy is linked to global markets now of which national governments have less and less control of as the Tories are now finding out. Their response has been futile but devastating cuts directed at those who can least afford it, when what is needed is global cooperation to solve global problems..
Judging people before they even speak or you get to know them is a horrible trait in human beings and I am a bit dissappointed the way some fans and the Durham Minors have went on but I still respect their decisions but at the end of the day if we employed Forrest Gump and he kept us up I wouldnt care, its a football club! The mans got my full support and all this uproar about his appointment will drive him on more to succeed and Sunderland will only profit from that.
