End product was short though and he was heading down blind alleys and holding ball too long. Agree you could see a player. Just something extra clicked and now he’s just quality. A joy to watch is right mate.
He runs with the ball on the outside of his foot, when I was a youngun that was the sign of quality. He’s brilliant, much better than I thought he could be. He’s a future international or at least should be looked at.
I thought the same no end product but my god the difference now! There is no way we could sign a 27-28 year old who could do what he does. But cause he is a young lad he needed a chance to start being a first team player and luckily for us he enjoyed his time here on loan, felt wanted and wanted to come back!
I said that to my m8 at the match on Wednesday, just reminds me of Waddell, we have an exceptional player on our hands
clarke is obviously catching the eye right now and a lot of people seem to be 'forgetting' about ballard who, before his injury was starting to build a bit of a reputation as a good, solid defender. would like to revisit this thread in a couple of months and hopefully all the new lads will have had a chance and we can maybe change our minds, going to be fun watching how they fit in and i think we will see some good football along the way.
I like Ballard but every game he pulls shirts that are blatant, and we risk going down 1 man by him being sent off. I hope he can control his urge to pull before it starts losing us games being a man down
