Yes they are BigFatTiger. Will stick a £1 on. Worth it. Whilst Crawley wont be easy i dont expect to see anymore than 3 of the Reading starting team play on saturday. The Doncaster game is far more important and Nick can still field a strong lineUp. I would go with something like this for saturday and it would be far to strong anyway for Crawley.

Mannone OR Carson (not fussed eitherway)

    East Chester Cooper Dudgeon

    Olifinjana Cairney

    Garcia(c) Brady King

    Simpson

    7 subs:- Vito OR Trev - Dawson - Hobbs - Fryatt - Devitt - Emerton - Holahan

the rest should be given the day off and rested for the Doncaster game on tuesday...imo.

that team should get us into the 5th round.

Sorry but thats plan silly. The FA Cup matches are perfect for our squad players who should still be more than good enough for Crawley Town. Give the majority of the first team a rest (Doncaster have no game saturday) as tuesday means so much more.

I agree, hence my team above but if there is a point to negate this opinion - we were very slow out of the blocks against Peterborough after several first team players were rested against Ipswich!

    Daft comment.

I really enjoyed the Ipswich game as a spectacle, more than a normal Championship game; the ref let the game flow and we played pretty well whilst involving different players. If that can happen again this week then great.

The thing to remember is we have the Donny game three days later, so unlike the Ipswich game we won't have a full week to rest the first team. I find it unlikely that NB will choose to hand Donny the advantage of half a week's rest over us. Also our second string is very similar strength to the first team at the moment (loads of strong players out of the team)

With that in mind I'd expect to see a weaker team than the Ipswich game. Players like Carson, Cooper, East, Dudgeon, Oli, Cairney, Garcia, Simpson and Cullen can expect to get a game. I imagine that NB will have an idea of his team for the Donny game before he picks this team and will have that in mind. If Fryatt is going to stay on the bench for Donny then I'd expect him to make the Crawley game ahead of McLean. If it's the other way around then I'd expect Brady or McLean to play (whichever is dropped for Fryatt).

Think Brady will play the Koren role with Garcia & King either side of him, Simpson to be the striker

    Carson
    East - Hobbs - Cooper - Dudgeon
    Cairney - Mckenna
    King - Brady - Garcia
    Simpson

Subs: Mannone, Devitt, Chester, Mclean, Olfinjana, Cullen, Emerton.

    Emerton for Brady
    Olfinjana for Mckenna
Devitt for King or Cullen for Simpson

in the second half. It'll be a tricky pick for Barmbs with the Donny game on Tuesday.

Thinking about it the likes of Koren, Chester and Fryatt who didn't play the Ipswich game will have had a fortnight off at some point and fresher legs than say McLean and Hobbs who have started every game (?) recently, so maybe that will come into it.

Forgot about Devitt, he could play instead of King if King is to be saved for Donny

Can't see Koren playing any part on saturday but Fryatt may be in the squad

Agreed. Both the last games actually which NB and the players accept. I would suggest this wont be an issue on saturday and the squad players have a point to prove. This is there chance to show NB they deserve to play. Its a win win for all concerned @ Hull City.

I think we'll put out a fairly strong team, Nick won't want to risk slipping up in this one.

Actually the more I think about it the more I think its the simplest decisionS that Nick will have to make on team selections for the next 2 games.

Yes. But nobody has actually posted a weak team on this thread yet. All the teams listed above should be more than good enough to beat Crawley. I just dont see anyway that Nick will play many of his main starters against Crawley with Doncaster so close. Its fair to say that Rosie will deffo be missing on saturday regardless.

I don't think Nick making changes and playing the likes of Cairney,Garcia and Dudgeon. is actualy playing a weakened side. We have a very good squad. I would still expect us to win,and it will give fringe players much needed game time.

    --------- Mc Kenna -- Cairney -----------
    ---- Brady ---- Garcia ---- King ---------
    ----------- Simpson --- Mc Lean --------
