Yeah someone has put up a lay bet of 50s and 70s but it doesn't mean those lay bets will be matched, I'd say 95% of the time maybe even higher those bets won't be matched. They are just putting them up there in the hope some idiot comes along and backs the horses at those wrong prices.
You get lots of people trying tactics like this on Betfair, on new markets or selections that haven't generated much interest.
That's why unless you know what your doing then it's always safer to bet on markets and selections that are generating enough interest, so a proper market has been formed. This way your guarenteed to get a fair price about your selection.
