Bassist, Deon Estus, known as the third man in Wham (and bass player on George Michael's first two solo albums), has died aged 65.
Trevor Hemmings, billionaire businessman, racehorse owner and also owner of his beloved Preston north End Football Club... 86 RIP..
Olympic diving coach, David Jenkins, died at the age of 31 over the weekend, British Swimming has announced. Mr Jenkins was the development lead coach for Dive London, based at the London Aquatics Centre, where he had worked for eight years. This summer, the "highly-respected coach" helped Team GB to success at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics - with the country's divers securing a joint-record medal haul at the Games.
Richard Boraman - Nobody famous, just a lovely bloke. When I first met him he was running the Hackney Empire, he came up to stay with us and we had some laughs playing some of his music (he'd given me his CD and I'd learned how to play a couple of tracks), I think he was a talented singer songwriter. RIP Boz
a very very late one. found out a couple of days ago: pat austin, hkr player in the 1950s and friend of my parents, 91. died last year.
Terrible tragedy. There's no accounting for unhinged individuals, and very little anyone can do to combat such random actions. Thoughts are with his family & friends.
There will always be nutters, maybe dialling down the hate rhetoric (hello Angela) would create a less toxic atmosphere where gentler politics might prevail.
At 69 years of age he wasn't doing the job for money .. more doing the job 'likely' to try and make a difference for his constituents... RIP Sir David Amess A 25 YEAR OLD ARRESTED..
Really shocking news. He did some important work for the vulnerable and unheard in society, a good man killed while doing his job.
This thread is for people to show respect to those no longer with us. Please keep any wider discussion for elsewhere. Thanks.
It's unbelievable how insensitive the mainstream media can be. Why not just simply report the incident and allow the poor fellow's family and friends to get on with their grieving and settling his final arrangements. It's an incredibly sad event, but it requires a hell of a lot more decorum to be exhibited here. Shame on all of the news outlets. Enough, let it be for a while.
What a cowardly and terrible act, it staggers me that these extremists don't seem to realise it does more damage to the law-abiding Muslim communities, who have to suffer from the backlash in the aftermath. May the perpetrator rot in hell. RIP David Amess.
I can’t say ive heard of David Amess but reading about him now it sounds like a man you’d want to represent you. RIP
