    That Slick Rick tune used to get rinsed on GLR rap show, back when Dave Pearce used to host it.

    So long ago now. Remember listening to that on my old Sanyo Boombox in my bedroom hovering over the record button to lift some joints to take into school on a monday morning, so I could be the Don with my mates.

    Eric Sermon and Parrish Smith had that brilliant dynamic between them like the best of the great MCs do. Also they had that nice contrast between their voices that made them so distinct, a bit like Q tip and Fife.

    Probably listened to Strictly and Unfinished more than any other hip-hop album. Along with UMC's Critical Beatdown

    HIAG would have into his 30s when he loved all this dreadful anodyne pop, which was aimed at a younger market.

    I dread to think what he listened to in his teens <laugh>
