Wait til he's been here for a few months and all the players get used to him, all his little flicks and trick passes will be even better.

Glad he had a good game, he had a point to prove to the fans.

 

I thought Saturday's performance was on par with his showing at Stoke and I couldn't be happier! I know some people were upset at him coming off so early in the second half, but I do think he was waning, maybe due to fitness coming off his injury? Either way, his first half was brilliant and I hope he can continue stringing performances like that together.

 

I said he would be a great signing for us from day one and that's a fact. I usually say I'm right about things because I usually am and that's also a fact.

 

He's still a way off being a good player, but this is what he needs to be doing: growing in confidence and using his tricks when he needs them not just pointlessly.

Obertan is only going to keep growing as a player. Look no further than Pardew as the man to thank. He has given him the chance by sticking by him and asking him to be more creative and clinical.
