I'm not sure if Colo and Enrique are appropriate comparisons because they had to adapt to the English game, wherein Obertan has been playing in England for a couple years now. That said, he didn't play much for Man U.
I'm on Team Give-Him-Time, I just don't think Colo and Jose are the most appropriate examples as to why.

He needs to improve quickly though, RW is a position you need production from, and right now he's not offering enough.

one thing that grinds on me as a fan is when i see other fans jumping on our players backs... whether they are playing good or ****e for those 90 minutes we have to give them all our support... it looks like obertan is in the team to stay for the forseeable future so we just need to get on with supporting him and the rest of the team.. hating on a player isnt going to benefit anyone and if anything is going to damage the team as a whole

I dont hate Obertan. I support him 100% when he on the pitch. My gripes with the manager.

I hope Obertan scores and grabs an assist or 2.

Also, the one thing that grinds me as a fan is being told to support the players on the pitch. What else do you think I do? I am a Newcastle Utd supporter. You wont hear me booing at a match for example.

    Bump

These stats have come out of woodwork from some bloke calling himself NUFC_Stats.

    Chances created this season: Jonas -17, Obertan - 18, Larsson - 33, Etherington - 27, Downing - 37, Hoolihan - 27, Brunt - 30

Jonas is really starting to grind on me. All work and no play make Jonas a dull boy. I want some distribution lad!

We massively lack end product from both wings. Imagine how often Ba would score if Jonas and Ober could cross!

Our decent position in the league is dispite out lack of contribution from the wings, not because of it. People love stats and the stats dont lie.

Together Jonas and Gab have one goal and 2 assists between them. Plus that little stat of chances created between them. Shocking.

Stewart Downing has created more chances than Jonas and Obertan put together. Ba is better than Suarez and Carroll. We need better wingers.

Thank the lord for someone talking bloody sense. How often do we see Jonas and Obertan let themselves get surrounded by two/three players and simply lose possession????

    Wish Ginola was 25 again..........LOL
