He has been infinitely better than Tiote in two of our last three games.

They have both been very poor, Tiote has just been significantly worse. He was diabolical against West Brom and his second half performance against Liverpool was shameful. He couldn't pass water.

Back to the OP is this the Chronicle story where someone's comment says that Pardew should be sacked of he doesn't play HBA? I do despair of the cretins on that website.

The difference is, when players like Tiote/Colo make an error or play badly, people completely ignore it so they can slate Obertan.

I think the issue is there are alot more errors from Obertan then Tiote/Colo....There were periods against Liverpool where everything was running through Tiote and there was some decent play from him albeit periods were he gave away complacent passes, the same couldnt be said with Obertan.

Bit of both here, Colo - who was poor against west brom - deserves to be cut some slack, Tiote perhaps not so much as he has definitely under performed to say the least since returning. Obertan hasn't had many good games, but he was important in a few, particularly Stoke and Man U, but people love to blame him.

I agree with this aswell, I cant stand this, I think everyone should be accountable for their mistakes, just because Colo/Tiote etc... are fan favourites they should still take their share of the blame.

There is the danger that if we get on his back too much it will break him.

Difference is, Obertan has been dreadful for most of the season, bar maybe 2-3 games.

I know we talk about him and give him stick on here, and a lot of the time rightly so, but I would still hope that people would keep it to themselves at our games because booing him off the pitch would only end up making things a lot worse.

He's good enough to do a job I just don't think hes good enough to be our first choice RW.

Hey guys, can I ask a serious honest question. I know it's easy to be humorous and biased towards your own players but...

If you had the option to have Downing or Obertan on the wing...who would you rather have?

To be quite honest Tiote's been absolute bollocks barring one or two games this season. Obertan at least played well against Fulham, Blackburn, Stoke, Man U, Arsenal, Bolton and Forest in the cup.
