Personally don't give a fig about Yorkshire - we're are finally, probably known as being in East Yorkshire - the wessies don't really think about us (Hull) being in Yorkshire - I lived In Leeds for 12 years post University and its truer now than it was 40 years ago. I would rather be affiliated with Holland & Belgium than Yorkshire - Ilkley Moor b'hat 'at and all that - fook em. Even the other day watched some ****e Sky channel prog- Home in the Country or whatever and this southern ponce said Yorshire comprised of West North and South Yorkshire - the latter of which never existed as a Riding (thriding meant third) - just ask Winifred Holtby. No fookin mention of the East Riding or even East Yorkshire.
