Jason "where's your caravan" Gillespie deserves a lot of credit for the turn around at Yorkshire CC. Should be getting him in the England set up...would be a massive improvement on what's currently there.
It's not really is it? There would be a comparisson if certain batsmen had amazing super bats that managed to the ball twice as far as other batsmen despite them having the same skills. Case in point - in the season Jenson Button became world champion, he was initially left without a drive because nobody thought he was good enough. The car won the title, not him.
Congratulations to the Tykes, don't mind county cricket. It's when we play the same countries for weeks on end. "Well it's the first over of the second innings of the third match on the second day of the fourth test between England and India." FOR CHRIST'S SAKE, WHY HASN'T ANYBODY WON YET??!?! Why won't anybody just win the ****ing thing?! We seem to have been playing India for about 3 months now, make it stop! Somebody please win the cricket!
Champions, and not by a short distance, we've utterly smashed it this year despite having 3/4 players per match not available for most of the season, strongest CCC side in a long long time, time for an independence vote in Yorkshire, we could take the bleeding world on.
Absolutely over the moon with this, a really emphatic triumph; a huge congratulations to all concerned who have worked so damn hard to get us there. Good luck to Co Durham who beat us to get to Lords; we did so well winning our group with an edge of real determination and just failed to hit the pace in the quarters against Co Durham - let the team good enough to beat us in a thriller take the honours! Hard luck Lancashire, down you go!
Nice one Yorkshire, it's hard to follow Cricket form over here, not much info on Internet either. I was in Scarborough the last time we won it, amazing day.
The side we have at Yorkshire is brilliant, and we really have something to build on. Given the recent England u19s squad had around 6/7 Yorkshire players in it, the future really is looking bright.
