From what i've read both Dead rising and Titan fall are timed Xbox exclusives and they're the two games that interest me most on Xbox. One thing that's annoyed me with Microsoft is how they throw money at timed exclusivity and exclusive content for games rather than making another franchise they could call their own.
Dad's PSOne! God that makes me feel old and i'm only 24. I used to play on my brother's Omega. The first one that was properly mine was the Master system, then Mega Drive (Golden Axe, Streets of Rage!!) then PSone/ two etc. I also unfortunately bought a Dreamcast when I was younger - what a pile of ****. Can't beat Mega Drive for side-scrolling fun!
If they hadn't gone so heavy on the Kinect then I would have got the next XBOX, threads like this and others on the internet help me make my mind up. Fair enough you can turn it off (Kinect) but why should you have to pay for something you don't want and aren't going to use? Am pretty annoyed with this as what they have done with the XBOX this gen is much better than the PS3 in just about every area apart from no BlueRay, and I actually like watching Netflix via the console and the other apps, but they've gone the other way and turned it into some sort of spyware SKY-Plus box! The paid sports they are on about seems to be US based too and I've got no wish to see things like American egg-chasing or baseball. Interesting comments about old-skool games, I go back to the 80's and my ZX Spectrum- loved that rubbery little black slab, makes me laugh these days people complaining about FIFA, they should have a go on Match Day 2 the spoilt little ****s!
PS4 for me. Most people will be getting the PS4 especially after how poorly microsoft has launched the new xbox.
I've had the same Xbox 360 for 6 years and it's never let me down, it's never broken and I've never had any problems. I was excited about the Xbox One but then they announced these restrictions like 'always online' and 'always kinect'. Suffice to say I don't really want my TV spying on me whilst I sleep. I'm pretty excited about GTA 5 and The Elder Scrolls Online, I'll try to get FIFA as well. Fallout 4 and other things sound interesting too.
My fraternity brothers and I got an xbox 360 when it came out. We had to return it 5 times before we tossed it out and got a PS3 instead. We had 3 red circles of death, and 2 ejection system failures. You had to mail it in and then they would send you another one. It took like a month or more to get it back each time and every time you did get it back it would last about one day before it died again on you. Clearly later they fixed the errors with it but I have never seen a product as faulty as that original xbox. No way would I ever buy another xbox product again at least not until I was damn sure that it wasnt going to be a terrible product like that original xbox launch was.

Thats one thing they did sort out at least, the XBOX 360 slim is a pretty neat bit of kit and its had a load of use from me over 18 months, the original XBOXs were pretty shanty by all accounts such as yours. Am actually pretty gutted at what Microsoft have done, would have been quite happy to stay with their brand. I've read reports that a lot of people don't actually care about the bad sides of the new console and that there are more pre-orders for XBOX which is unbelievable really, some people are just lemmings
Microsoft's target market (US and UK) are filled with casual gamers, who are connected to the internet, who don't really care about all the stuff the "hardcore" gamers do.
I think thats why they are just foisting stuff like Kinect on people as they know the target market laps up anything like you say. A few days ago I was considering getting one myself regardless but when you think about it spending that much money on something which has a lot of things you don't need or agree with is wrong. Came close to lemming status myself!
http://www.whathifi.com/news/microsoft-to-back-track-on-xbox-one-games-drm-and-always-online What HiFi claiming they are going to back track! Strange for a creditable magazine to make something up, I still can't see it.
Considering the Xbone has been heavily criticized for many reasons and looks like it may flop, expect to see some backtracking.
I would hope they would, but Microsoft seem stuck in ways and keep saying Sony won't influence them! Would be a sensational back track if it did happen.
God, loads of places reporting it now www.giantbomb.com/articles/microsoft-to-pull-complete-reversal-on-xbox-one-dr/1100-4673/
They haven't done enough. Kinect should not be mandatory and you should not have to sign in every 24 hours.
