I've supped in a fair few countries but German beer is the one for me. The variations is via the smaller breweries and that best yet was in the Black Forest. Water filtered through peat rather than limestone etc.
I spent my childhood in Belgium. Beer's great, only problem is... You're drinking it in ****ing Belgium.
I put my hands up....I'm from Alcovania, 21 points is an early night at the weekend....when I used to drive up for the home games, my record stood at 14 pints before the game(3 o'clock kick off)..2 more at half time and an absolute skinful after the win. Finished off with a ruby at the Shaga at Witburn, I'd be dead if tried it now...getting a bit soft in the old age!
