I beg to differ mate. Hows about you give it a watch before turning your nose up at it? Please, tell me why it's a **** sport?
They also announced the line up for the Premier League last night: Van Gerwen Taylor Lewis Anderson Wade Barney Chisnall Bunting Kim Huybrechts Peter Wright Most of those picked themselves really, Bunting has proved over the past few weeks that he's a good player, but I'm surprised at the inclusion of Kim Huybrechts. He's not a bad player by any stretch, and gave Taylor a bit of a scare in the World's, but I'm not sure he's quite at that level yet. Jenkins or Van der Voort would have made sense to me.
I think it is stretching it a bit to say moving one's arm is classed as Physical exertion. Is drinking a pint a sport? an activity involving physical exertion and skill in which an individual or team competes against another or others for entertainment. "team sports such as soccer and rugby" synonyms: (competitive) game(s),physical recreation, physical activity, physical exercise; pastime "he takes part in a variety of sports"
No, sport to me suggests you have to be an athlete to compete. These guys are just good at darts. You wouldn't consider pool or cribbage a sport. Or poker.
What do you mean "just good at darts". I suppose footballers are "just good at football" too? Anything that takes skill and is competitive is sport.
It's an activity that requires skill and physical exertion (the amount is irrelevant) as an individual or team to compete against others for entertainment. Yes, i'd say that's a fitting description of darts. Thanks John.
I'd say darts was a sport to be honest, as the most skilled people win. Something that relies on luck instead of skill is a game not a sport such as most card games despite what gamblers might tell you
