Tofu and Tempah have been used in China for thousands of years. Enjoy your fake plastic pizza http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p00w7f94
Its open to debate weather humans are meant to eat meat however I believe we are not. It is however scientific fact that a vegan diet is the healthiest for a human. Read up on the China Study.
Grains + pulses give us Class 1 protein (as far as I'm aware). E.g. dhal and rice or/naans/chapatis; beans and tortillas; even beans on toast gives the same result....
The stuff is pure ****ing evil and should be banned immediately. Over 6 million people in this country suffer a violent reaction to this fungal filth. That's an awful lot of projectile vomiting going on daily. The company have for years refused to acknowledge that their satanic mold product causes such distress. It's a national scandal. http://rontlog.hubpages.com/hub/Food-Allergies-Quorn
Just out of interest Lammie, how come you know how difficult it is catching sheep? I never had you down as a Welshman.
I'm surprised that this thread has run to 7 pages and nobody has made mention of St. Stephen yet. Go Moz, you tell 'em how it is boyo.
It's something humans evolved to be able to drink after they left Africa; I believe a good part of Africa is lactose intolerant (or maybe I'm wrong) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lactose_intolerance
You are correct, but it is also worth adding that those who are lactose persistent, that is can tolerate lactose post-weaning, are the mutants here. And that includes 95% of Europeans.
Its my understanding (correct me if I'm wrong, I'm not a nutritionist) that no one single vegetarian protein source contains all the amino acids required by humans, as such vegetarians have to make sure the combine protein sources to get all the amino acids they need.
I can eat pounds and pounds of tomatoes every day. I used to sit in my Grandads greenhouse with a salt shaker and just eat them. Not tried rice milk but will give it a go Stan as am looking for alternative to cows milk. Are humans the only animal to drink another animals milk?
