I do not know what a Roku streaming device is.

No point in trying to explain either, I won't understand.

    It's pointless.

ok, it's quite technical but I'll do my best. My wife bought a purple box, she plugged it in, my sister in law fiddled with it, my wife pressed some buttons on the Netflix website......I can watch Breaking Bad.

It probably wouldn't work in the Hull area would it?

    Would it?

Should I know this sort of thing?

It is the best show currently on TV. It may not be a british thing but you all like a lot of our better shows so you will probably like it to.

It's good, but it doesn't beat Sherlock.

Life On Mars and Ashes To Ashes were class crime shows. Life On Mars in particular.

I think it is just a cultural thing. Same with Doctor Who which I also cant stand. At least with Sherlock I read some of it when I was a kid so I can stand it a little bit more.

    Xenophobe!

    <whistle>

Nah, that's a fair enough reason. I hate a lot of American things for the same reason.

There are some shows of yours I really like just not those. The office, being human, spaced etc are all good. I dont know how to describe it but Doctor Who and Sherlock seem to be exclusively directed to you all. Your movies are also class especially your crime based ones.

I get what you mean, but it's not entirely true, Sherlock (and to a lesser extent Doc Who)are ****ing huge in Asia. I'm not joking, Sherlock is one of the biggest, if not the biggest shows over there.

    You didn't get it then?

Lost, for me, pretty much the best thing that's been on TV ever. It did dip for a series, but overall was fantastic

Other notable entries - 24 and The Wire

Sopranos was good but never got past season 4
Breaking Bad - still on Season 3

I like Hostages and True Detective - almost laughed as those who said M McConaughey being a cack actor

I don't have a telly, I watch everything on my laptop, it's a decent sized screen and after a while I got used to it. Added bonus is I don't have to pay for an overpriced telly licence <cheers>

Recently finished Breaking Bad so ready for another deep south American series.

    Also still enjoy Boardwalk Empire.

Read the reviews for True Detective and had high hopes, excellent first episode. Think mismatched American cops in hunt for serial killer in the deep red neck south in the new nordic noir genre style. This is Louisiana Noir, sounds odd, it is odd and dark and brilliant.
