Was reading up about it today, he was painting the Stadium walls 3 months ago and has no football experience whatsoever. Makes total sense to have him as head of recruitment in such a prestigious League... Then again, it's good news to us.
The stadium cat to be made head physio. Bob the blindman to be made gk coach and Mrs Tan to take over the hospitality.
Pete O'Rourke ‏@SkySportsPeteO Cardiff are due to hold a board meeting on Monday in the wake of the removal of Iain Moody as head of recruitment.
I see nobody seems to be picking up on the fact that Moody was Watford's press officer before becoming Cardiff's head of recruitment. How are them 2 jobs interlinked? That was a ridiculous appointment in the first place. It's like putting the IT guy in charge of phsyiotherapy. Mackay was clearly giving jobs to his unqualified mates in the first place so this is no worse. They're both equally ridiculous.
Very happy to be No.2 to Partridge actually. Iwan Roberts said on talksport on tuesday that Cardiffs CEO had been asked by the local media if the removal of Moody was a way of getting MM to quit. The CEO would not answer either way. The race for the next sacking is neck and neck between Mackey and Weir by the looks of it.
Which players and agents are even going to talk to a 23 year old head of recruitment - even Joe Kinnear is a better option than him (and that's saying something). Chairmen appointing friends of the family into important footballing positions is a big no-no and even though I am pro-Allam re the name change I would be against him doing a Cardiff in this aspect (what was the story with Darren Robinson - or whatever his name was, which we used to have?)
