cant think of a single immigrant in england who plays football at a high level apart from zaha and he faded like a broken party popper
Do you know what the argument is? It looks like you're just deciding my half of it for me and answering to that. Even if that daft exaggeration, which was obviously nothing more than that, made the point unclear, I've since explained it further in much more detail addressed specifically to you. You've since then chose to ignore the point again and instead just kept insisting everything that I've said is stupid with no explanation. I honestly don't know. What makes you think I do? Where have I suggested I'm the expert on that? Anyone who's come from Eastern or Southern Europe in the last few decades for a start. They're all part of the population but can't be eligible to play for England. Why is it digging a hole to discuss the talent pool? Are you assuming it's racist because I've mentioned foreign people? Whether they're good at football or not doesn't matter in this context, the point I made was that they are counted in the population but aren't eligible to play for England, so our talent pool is significantly smaller than the population.
If you don't have any suggestions then stay out of the debate, don't bastardise us for having an opinion, our national team is piss-poor by our standards.
What on Earth are you talking about? Where have I 'bastardised anyone for having an opinion'? I was the one who gave an opinion about three pages back which has attracted wholly disproportionate abuse and ridicule despite repeatedly trying to debate it sensibly. Honestly, I'd suggest taking 5 minutes to go back and read through this thread and ask yourself what you're so upset with me for.
I'm not upset with you, you're being sensitive. England are ****, we should be more like Germany. The end.
PLT's suggestion seems to be we are **** cos our immigrants cant play for us, but German immigrants can and thats why they're good. Simple. He hasnt explained yet who they are in the German team. Ozils a third generation Turk/German born in Germany. Khedira born in Germany. Podolski moved there when he was 2 and is fiercely pro German. Boateng born in Germany. Klose moved there when he was 8.
Abuse and ridicule? Seriously mate have a word with yourself. Looks like you're coming down with Moditus.
That might be true but it certainly isn't 'the end'. It's very much open to debate and to imply it isn't, on a messageboard of all places is ridiculous. Each thread would be one post long if we followed that model. I've explicitly stated more than once that it isn't the only reason or even the main one. This exaggerating my argument is becoming a theme. I don't think my posts are lacking clarity, so all this attempting to tell me what my argument is is completely unjustified. The exact situations of those players doesn't matter. The point was that the equivalent migrants residing in England are counted in the population but aren't eligible for England's national team in a lot of cases, whereas all those you mentioned in Germany and others are. I'm really not sure what you expect. Should I just do as I'm told and accept I'm a stupid ****? Is it unreasonable for me to defend my position when it's being attacked so poorly yet aggressively?
Maybe it's because several people disagree with him and he thinks he's being ganged up on. If that's the case then I was being abused and ridiculed the other day for saying Ronaldo was better than Messi.
