The 'long-ball' manager who thought 'direct' football was king; every time our GK got the ball (too bloody often!) he would scream GAMBLE. It used to do my head in; try listening for it at the KC!
I can see amature football most weekends, schoolkids level and I am appalled by the venom being shouted from the touchline by parents of these kids. You would think these would at least be supportive of their offspring, no chance one mistake and the poor kids is made to feel like a leper, all wrong so very wrong.
Kids should be playing 8 a side, small goals, small pitch, small ball. Developing skills. Lots of praise, no criticism. Oh and parents told to **** a long, long way off.
Theres no need for that sort of outdoor shenanigans Ernie. These are impressionable kids with good eyesight. Have a word with yourself.
