Anthony is ineligible because he's foreign. Peter Herbert is surely set to report them for racism for not including any foreigners on the list though.

Amazing summer for sports really and it's so hard to choose just one person for the award.Started with Wiggo winning the tour de france and just kept getting better. Murray gold and American open, Ennis,Mo, and even that incredible Ryder Cup comeback victory.
I was lucky enough to have spent 4 weeks in Hull this summer and got to be part of the whole thing, I even saw Luke Campbell show his gold medal off on the balcony of city hall.
By far the best year for British sports in my memory and I'm not a young man. One thing for sure it wont be any of them primadonna footballers that played in the euros this summer and a big thanks to all our other athletes that made us forget about that shambles over in eastern europe so quickly.

I can't see anything other than a landslide victory for Wiggins.

For the TDF and Olympics. Most of the nominees are backing Wiggins too.

There should be a 'team' award for all the incredible Olympians, I don't think we'll ever see a summer of sport quite like the one in 2012.

Wiggo HAS to win. He is the most deserving of the award.

I hope at least one of the Paralympians gets in the top 3 aswell, David Weir especially, as his 6 gold medals (10 overall) deserves some sort of recognition on his own.

I think they do actually have an award for 'Team Of The Year', which surely should be given to the Olympic and Paralympic teams as a whole?
