It's a difficult one to answer. For 17years I was involved in dealing with dickheads. Been attacked by all types with all types of weapons over the years but fortunately never a firearm. If you backed down then you had real problems going forward. But over the years I learnt to deal with these people either thought dialogue or as a last resort get nasty. So I have a confidence that I can deal with most situations including similar to mel u found himself in. But I stopped 8 years ago through getting older. I am ow 46 and not the size or fitness that I once had. I know I can't do what. I used to but I can do more than most. But I still have the same attitude as before of not backing down. But now I have a child and another due next week so it's time to stop the attitude and accept that there are other things in life that are just more important
Dickheads are dickheads, you never know. Wife with you, just a cash collection, get up half hour earlier and get it in the morning and drive on - what's the point, why risk anything? As for are you past it? I know you Mel and you would give a ****ing good account, but **** em' only give it if you really have to. Discretion is wisdom, not cowardice. Hope you are well.
I actually could have done without the cash, but on the way I was told that I had agreed to pay for the taxi for 8 home! Mugged by my missus thats what it was mate. Im very well mate, loving the football, missing getting my round in though.
