Three pairings pick themselves for this pm: Rose/Stenson, McIlroy/Garcia and McDowell/Dubuisson. I suspect McGinley will go for Gallacher and possibly Westwood for the other pair.

After a day and a half of playing like a club golfer, yes!

Walker and Fowler are playing so well, though.

'Earlier this week I talked with Larry Nelson, the softly spoken Vietnam war veteran who in 1979 became the only man ever to win all five points at a Ryder Cup. Got to be a chance now that Justin Rose will emulate him.'

May have chipped in Poults but still down. Wont be seeing him this afty

Credit to Poulter for hanging in there - but by God, his long game is all over the place.

Rory down the middle at the last - come on lad.

I must say, it's a sad day when the coolest player out there is French.

    He is good though...

Been a much better afternoon this. Dubuisson and McDowell are smashing Fowler and Walker atm.

Kaymer and Rose got away with that - shocking miss by Reid.

K&R will lose the 17th for sure, though.

Yep, 10-6 is a very healthy position - the Yanks have played some great stuff, but this afternoon they just lost some of their sparkle. Watson will get some stick for leaving Mickelson out completely today.

Watson probably got fed up with the fat c**t shouting 'Go baby' every time he hit a decent shot and acting like it's the greens fault instead his every time he missed a put.

    Arsehole that he is.

Smashing fella Phil. Genuinely well liked and respected by us and them. Credit to the game.
