It's good to see that some posters are showing that there is good police as well. I work in close proximity with the police, and the majority of them are excellent. In any profession you are always going to get bad apples, and it appears that there were was a good number of them in South Yorkshire at that time.
Mr White, sadly back in those days it policing was totally different. It has changed an enormous amount. I had the police to my door the a while back, due to a bloke up the street shouting at my kids for no reason, so I went to shout at him. They came out were very fair and told me if he bothered my kids again to phone them. They knew the guy up the street was a Walter Mitty type who was always phoning them yet they have to respond every time. It's sorted now though, the bloke up the street hasn't been seen for weeks
Don't get me involved in your sad little disputes toerag! Yes I have had fall outs with Syd and other Mackem's. But I still converse with them in a civil manner on all things SAFC, or off topic, that doesn't concern any fallout! And I would never want them to go elsewhere! You on the other hand are a cancer on our board. PS. Completely agree with Cest. I have had more interaction with the police than most. Never done time but lots of Bed and Breakfast. The majority of coppers are top blokes. But........ The bad ones need to be ousted, the only way this can be done is from the inside. When a policeman is proved to have been lying or "fabricating" he should be instantly dismissed, end of. The end doesn't justify the means. If the twat who killed those two young female officers is found guilty. I would happily volunteer to hang them myself.
