The French tax system taxes people differently based on the number of adults in a family, but for a couple earning $193,000 to $1,280,000 the tax rate is 45% and any couple earning over $1,280,000 are taxed at 75%. Posh will continue to earn her money in the states, as she'll pay far less tax and Beckham would have lost 75% of what he earned in tax, so he's only actually giving up the balance 25% of his earnings after tax and he can't claim tax relief if he's not actually paying anything in the first place.
Thanks for that. I heard higher rate tax payers in France were leaving the country because of some changes, think it was Depardieu the actor there was a lot of controversy about in particular.
I was surprised when I saw the highest tax was at 75%, it's a surprise that anyone wealthy still lives there, though I expect many of them operate from a PO Box in Monaco.
I suppose theres Switzerland nearby too and a few other places, not really clued up on it but the French economy must be in bad shape if thats what they are doing
There was something in the news last week about the French economy being ****ed. That, Rodney, is Creme du Menthe
Just googled Depardieu, apparently the creator of Asterix wants to leave the country now because of the tax system think they are falling apart at the seams over there!
I think David Beckham should just give all his money away to Geordie's who all drink their money away. People don't need to drink, its not a necessity, i don't drink, i've got no need to and i don't wish to spend my money on it. I don't begrudge those who do, but those who do, who then become acoholics shouldn't need our head, you choose to drink, you are not forced to do it.
He once put Immac, or as it's now known Veet, into a shampoo bottle and gave it to Jimmy Gardner, who used it and ended up bald as a badger. He also scooped the filling out of some meat pies and replaced it with cat food and gave them to Jimmy Gardner, who ate them. He said they were the best pies he 'd ever had and scoffed more down. Now these are either very funny practical jokes or quite nasty incidents of bullying. It's the sort of thing that if you'd done on a lads holiday would be hilarious so I'll opt for them being the whimsical japes of the season. Bravo, Gazzer , Bravo. The other stuff is a bit ****ish mind.
Is he back to being 'five bellies' now, he went down to being 'one belly' a few years back. http://metro.co.uk/2010/09/17/pictu...ner-slims-to-13st-for-great-north-run-514473/
I read the other day that he has applied or just got Russian Citizenship. Now that's desperate measures.
Paul has just been admitted to a treatment center in the States, hope it works out for him, God willing
Good news that mate, cheers. As for Depardieu, he did piss in a shoe on a plane I think, he's another with alcohol issues but at least he made it to a good age. I think Gerard lost his way when his son died of pneumonia a few years ago.
I agree its good news Gazza will get care, but a pity he has to be dragged through the ****e to get it. As for the rest of your post: do you read the papers, watch the news, anything at all that might improve your very limited view of what happens? Really not having a go, but a lot seems to have passed you by. Never mind.
Shame that Gascoigne has to go the US to get some proper secure effective care. But glad someone has acted to sort this.
Pleased P.G is getting treatment. Here's hoping his life will improve. Self made or not I wouldn't like my worst enemy to end up like he has, Not that I have any enemy's .. With a couple of my old friends they have had help in the past BUT the problem is they end up hanging around with the same drinkers and drug takers and before long they ended up worse then ever. Some people just don't seem to be able to change ...
Yep great news about Gazza , as for the rest of what you say got no idea at all what you're on about but hey ho nevermind like you say!
