It is a cynical move on Beckhams part, as he's earning from elsewhere and why even mention his charity donations. Too many heartless people in the world in terms of your views on Gazza.

Clappers comments on the charity front got me thinking, apparently Balotelli donates up to half his salary to charity and is nowhere near the Beckham bracket in earnings also never goes on about it to boost his own brand .He's one player who actually deserves a bit of respect for this. I'll be honest and say I'm not really a fan of Beckham and everything that surrounds him but he's a good role model despite the obvious stunts to keep him in the public eye now his career as a footballers over. Interesting comment I've seen on Beckhams situation too, if anybody wants to say if theres any truth in it as I don't know:
'Beckham has come up with a good tax avoidance scheme, in France the family income is taxed and if income is high enough at 75%, so he will pay nothing, Posh will pay nothing and he will be able to claim tax relief on his charitable donations. All in all a nice tax avoidance scheme.'

I'm 28. Why does it matter? How old are you?

You sounded angry in your post. And bitter.

And the reason I'm glad you posted what you did, is because you normally post a load of ****, so I'd have been worried if you agreed with me.

Thankfully you don't, and you remain one of the ****test posters on this forum, which is quite an achievement really.

    Well done...sort of.

What ever gazza has done or not done in the past... Even if you don't like him as a person and even IF its all his own fault the thing is he is a well ill person and for that reason he needs help .

Hopefully some one out there will step in and help him before it's to late .

Iv spoke to him a couple of times in the Beacon pub in Gateshead and he seemed ok.

Anyway let's hope he gets some help.

Sad to see anyone in such a state .

I don't think you understand what a forum is, a place to express views not abuse others for theirs.

I think if everybody used his way of communicating this board would die out pretty fast. I've been here for a while, lurking and contributing but sometimes you wonder why you bother. Interesting to see your views on Beckham/Gazza cheers mate

So according to some bird that Balottelli shagged (allegedly) who heard it form a 'friend' he gives his money to charity.
No evidence of this self indulgent prick who loves himself giving anything. He's such an arrogant git, I'm sorry I just don't believe it. Of course the Daily a mail is a newspaper that tells the truth, well it's out there somewhere.
Yes I think the Beckham thing is to do with tax or is some huge spin & I'm sure he gets loads of money on image rights, which nowadays is all,he's worth.

Theres a few up in arms that he is supporting French charities too with his tax avoidance scheme (if thats what it is). I think Adebayor gives a lot of his money away unless I'm mistaken at no real gain too himself and others that do likewise but don't mention it for personal gain. Personally I couldn't care less if somebody grabbed hold of Becks and gave him and his Goldenballs a severe wedgie in those undercrackers he likes to pose in, he's the modern-day version of Kevin Keegan and his Brut adverts

That's a very weak 'apparently'! His ex seems to be saying that he does not spend on his family so as not to spoil them or buy their love!!?? She is also very vague about any charity donations, whereas the Mail seems to be very careful to point out his 'footballer' lifestyle and his little excesses with the £160,000 Bentley. I don't see why you seem to wish to pull down one of ours who is doing something very transparently good.

So, Lem, you 'lurk' out there do you? About sums it up then.

Your support of Gazza is a credit to you, I'm sure. I am also sure he will piss it away with that of all his real mates who have now seen enough and keep a distance. That doesn't include Jimmy '5 Bellies' who is a true friend and always has been, even though it took him some time to realise their lifestyle had to change.

I would agrtee that, depending on the stage of his session, that Gazza can come across as a affable bloke when in his favoured environment of a boozer; unfortunately that does change as he moves on into the drink.

Yes he needs help, as he is a alcoholic, wife beater, who has little or self respect and treats those who care for him with contempt. At 28yrs of age you may have seen enough evidence of his lack of concern over the implications of his often bizarre actions. Do you recall his strange out-reach to a murderer who terrorised a Northumbrian town? You see, I think anyone who supports this guy and his actions is a twat; if you don't like that then tough.

Oh yes, that help he needs. Let us start with his agent who has milked him for years and still does - why has the agent not put the help in place? Perhaps it is better for the coffers to publicise his problems and book him into functions he is clearly not fit for.
Or perhaps he could take himself down to the NHS and call upon the same resources that are available to the rest of us. He stopped being special a long time ago and started becoming a cringeworthy fool; at least, that is the conclusion I have come to in my 59 yrs.

Who ever urged him to get onto that stage is deffo a C--T.

Sad to see anyone in such a state. Looked like he has had a stroke ..
Why was he shaking like that ?

reminds me of one or two of my old friends who have ****ed themselves up with booze and drugs and seem unable to change despite lots of help.

I'm not 28, I don't know where you got that idea from. I'm middle-aged. Why do you feel the need to call somebody a 'twat' for expressing an opinion different to yours I don't know, maybe it's the internet does this to people? I said at the start of this thread that I know people won't have sympathy for Gascoigne. I do because I thought he was a fantastic footballer for England and gave me a lot of good memories, and make the comparison that now we are a shadow of the team we used to be and are crying out for a player like him. As for 'lurking' I still don't know why you are expressing negative opinions like that, like PartyHull said there is no need for it.

I read that the shaking is something to do with the alcohol mixed up with his bi-polar disorder meds, that would explain it I think, or if he stopped taking his schizophrenia medication

My apologies, I mistook the 28yrs old with another poster.

I don't call someone a twat for holding a different opinion to me; go back through my history and you will see that is not the case. I call anyone a twat who not only searches to support, but almost condones the decades old actions of a very spoilt, once loved, wife-beating, alcoholic, law-breaking (remember the car thing and others?), ex-footballer who thought it a good thing to support a murderer to gain a bit of national coverage. This is a guy who has got away with far more than he has been caught for; a man who betrayed the trust of countless managers, team-mates - not to mention the paying public and this was when he was stone-cold sober.

I notice that his great mate Alan Shearer says that his mate, Gazza, has his number if he needs him - you talk about the so-called faults of Beckham but I bet you won't see Shearer using the cash from his article to bail out his big mate. The fact is that when his old Pro mates hear he might be turning up somewhere they all run for cover.

Scarborough Tiger - at least we agree on that, the people who booked him into that function and then put him out there on that stage are the same ones who are saying he needs immediate help - they for me are far worse that Twats. I also find the folk who tipped up to watch the spectacle less that good - the way they behaved was appalling - just the guillotine missing; perhaps they could have put him into the stocks for an encore.

Some dogooder get him an appointment with his GP, if he needs sectioning for his own good then sobeit.
