I think you can see the affect there having by the fact all three parties have started taking immigration far more seriously. They are even adopting UKIP's policies mainly because they know if they do they will gain a fair share of the vote. The key to UKIP is there the only protest vote without looking a complete idiot, the issue is they have one policy and their other policies are pretty poor, where as the BNP in the last election had a far better economic plan but you can't say that without sounding racist at all.

To all of those that think leaving the EU is such a huge ordeal, it really isn't at all. Apart from the financial loss we make each year there are far more things we will gain than what we will lose. If you throw trade etc... in my face i am pretty sure we can negotiate trade deals without being part of the EU.

The only issue we may have is that Sterling could easily be targeted and due to us being a single nation our currency could easily be devalued by countries a lot easier than if we was in the Euro. However we will never be part of the Euro so we may as well leave the EU then.

The two countries with the highest per capita income in the world are in Europe.

But neither are members of the EU.

The doomsday scenario is complete and utter bollocks.

As the EU expands further eastward through Bulgaria, Rumania and on to Turkey and more Latin countries need bailing out more and more British people will back those that seek a way out. UKIP can only grow stronger and more electable.

You could be the part of the advanced column behind enemy lines wreaking havoc for the pending invasion Charles! Or maybe not.

When Huhne got banged up, I noticed loads of people on Twitter saying it served the Tory Toff right.

If people make assumptions like that, based on how people look and speak, they probably think Tony Benn is a Tory too.

"Huhne was born in West London, to businessman Peter Paul-Huhne and actress Ann Murray.[15] He was educated at the Westminster School. His family name was Paul-Huhne and he was known during his school years as Christopher Paul-Huhne. At Oxford, he simplified his name to Chris Huhne.[16]
His education continued at the Sorbonne, Paris, where he obtained a certificate in French Language and Civilisation[citation needed], and Magdalen College, Oxford, where he was a scholar (Demy). At Oxford, he edited the student magazine Isis, served on the executive of the Oxford University Labour Club, and achieved a first-class degree in PPE (politics, philosophy and economics). Huhne was active in student politics supporting the Labour Party."

I can't see him having haddock and chips today or any other year when he's not sewing mailbags.

    For me, he's a toff.

All ****ing politicians are toffs. You really think the labour party would take in some working class bloke with a gold earring and yellow teeth with a few missing, who in a press conference would address his audience 'ayup lads and lasses'.

Huhne's definitely a toff, just not a Tory one.

This is a blatantly political thread.
Personally I don't mind political discussion, but it pisses me off that moderators pick and choose which politics they want to censor.
If this stays open and mods ban other political discussion threads it will be totally hypercritical.

Surely it should be possible to discuss a politician without descending into punch and judy insults, ffs?

The problem is the poster(s) not the subject matter.

Farage attempts to cater for a demand that is not currently being met by the mainstream parties, who are obsessed by keeping the perceived middle ground.

I used to delete them all, just to avoid any confusion, it's just easier than having to watch it all the time waiting for it to get messy.

    No, it was our rules.

When we all moved on here, we wanted as little moderation as possible, so we just removed the two issues that often ended up with Muslim bashing on certain other sites.
