I will be in NYC on 28th for a week. Cant wait been before and its an awesome place to visit especially for new year. The missus loves pizza so we will defo be doing Grimaldi's one night i guess. Visited most of the bars around the theatre district before but never get bored of doing it again. Hells kitchen for food is hard to beat loads of good restaurants to eat at. Try and book first though even the smaller ones get full most evenings. Enjoy, i know i will. UTT
Never been to SD but know people who have and say its great an well worth a visit...Mission Beach is one of the best in the whole of the US.......Though apparently one of the worst airports in the US to fly into. Planning to do coast to coast in a couple of years... east to west through the southern states then back again via Chicago then Detroit, then walk across the border at Windsor and into Canada.
The weird thing is, the people that visit NYC etc and rave about them are generally the same people who complain about places like London. Away from the cities, like most countries, the US is frigging awesome.
San Diego is a nice city . . . with a lousy airport. Fly into Orange County airport (John Wayne) and make the hour or so drive down to SD. The airport is better and the scenery is fantastic.
