MOTD hasn't always been just about the Premier League. A long long time ago football had four divisions and Hull City spent 104 years staying clear of the top (1st) division. Therefore appearances on MOTD were very rare and often had to include a reference to rugby league. Which was the subject of my post. England won the World Cup in 1966. Did you know that even though you were not born ? So remind me of your point again ?
Surprisingly, MOTD while I have been alive has always shown TOP DIVISION games. Tell me, what is wrong with me assuming that has always been the case? ****ing picky prat.
Before us being in the PL, when our only appearance would be a 1st Round FA Cup game against Macclesfield that we'd lose 3-1 without them ever getting within 30 yards of our goal. (seriously, they had some ridiculous habit of finding the top corner from distance when they played us)
You asked, very quickly, 'how I worked that one out' And I explained. And do your parents know you use foul language ?
The irony of this I just watched two minutes of highlights on Setanta Ireland, we were second last. Even with our strong Irish connections they still favour the big boys. The same for the media as the two main national papers rarely ever write reports on our games. This pÃÃÃÃÃ me off big time.
If WBA/Fulham was the last game, are they just working their way down the league? So Chelsea, Arsenal, Man City, Man U, Southampton, Us, WBA in that order.
Yes and no, West Brom were last but the rest was Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal, West Ham, Man U so the order makes no sense
I agree, a bit daft him not getting one at the same time as Henry. But I would say that Henry was better in terms of contribution, but Bergkamp had an unprecedented ability.
This made me google greatest ever arsenal players and I found this list... http://www.arsenal.com/history/gunners-greatest-50-players Quite frankly I've no idea how they spent so long in the top flight judging by this list. Ray Parlour at 19. Decent pro and everything, but I think even we've had 19 players better than him ffs.
Surely that was a Lampard goal, no debate needed? Terry and Ivaonovic didn't touch it, and it was on target from the free kick so it can't really be an OG can it?
